  In July, 2023, I called to cancel my alarm system since the three year contract had already lapsed, and the alarm is not used anymore. I was told to put it in writing in an email, and that it would be canceled not immediately because I needed to give them 30 days notice. I emailed them on July 12, 2023 requesting the cancellation and also explaining that the property has a tenant who is using their own system. I asked for confirmation and received no reply. I emailed again. I forgot about it and saw that Vortex continues to withdraw from my account. I spoke to **** earlier this week, and he said it would be taken care of immediately, that I would be refunded what should not have been withdrawn from my account, and so on. I am still waiting. It is absolutely WRONG to give customers the run-around and continue charging them. There should be a clear way of cancelling a contract instead of making it difficult so that the company can continue to make money off the customer, especially when the services are not being used.

  This was an error in our system and it was cleared up when the customer spoke with our management team.  Vortex has cancelled this account after the *********************************************************************************************** error.

  I have been using Vortex for almost four years.. Recently, I had a problem with my panel. A service tech was here within two hours and repaired it. They are a great company. I highly recommend them. The pricing is competitive.

  Met a sales representative for Vortex several years ago, he always talked about customer service, no contracts, fast response times. I purchased a home, called Vortex for an alarm system with camera. Came out of pocket with $2,000 for system and $53/month monitoring. 3 months went by and due to a defect in the home our family had to move out. I called Vortex to cancel service I was told I had a 36 month monitoring contract. I asked to suspend service until our attorney could determine our housing status and was told no. I paid for 32 months for service on a home that my family could not live in. At no time was a 36 month contract mentioned to me. In April 2022 I called Vortex and paid off the account in full for the remaining months and cancel services. I have been charged the monitoring fee each month since and can not get them to stop. Each time I call its another reason or another email they claim not to have received. Beware of their sales tactics and contract language and terms. Ask these questions up front, don't take a sales representatives word.

  The review from Mr. ****** could not be any further from the truth. The customer knew it was a 36 month agreement and also signed and initialed the agreement where is stated it was a 36 month agreement. The customer did contact us when he has issues with the home and was given several options on how we could proceed including moving his service to another location. As far as cancelling the agreement it is required that any cancellation is submitted in writing (again in the agreement that was signed and common practice in the industry) and once Vortex received the written cancellation the account was cancelled. There were no poor sales tactics or customer service issues with this account. Vortex is a leader in the industry and prides itself on providing the best customer experience for all of our customers.
