I ordered two items a lunch box and the new ultralite coolers. BOTH items leaked when I received them. They replaced only the lid to the lunch box one. It took about SIX MONTHS to received the lid. I hadn't yet had a chance to use the big cooler just yet. When I did use the cooler it too had a leak. I call customer service, they said that since is it was passed the 30 days I could not return it. I could ship it back to them however I have to pay 230 dollars for shipping WTH!?? Needless to say, I should have followed my instinct from the beginning and just went with a YETTI!!! I thought I was getting a good deal saving a little bit of cash going with ******************************** learned. Don't be fooled, you get what you pay for. I will never ever buy an Engel, I will share my experience with my union members as well. If I could give negative stars I would.

I requested Engel customer service team get me in touch with ******************* as I feel I could share some valuable field insights on their products. Unfortunately, their team did not reach back out to me. I received a 19QT Bait Cooler as a gift from my wife for Christmas and have been using the cooler for ~3 months now. The product has already failed as the handle assembly completely detached despite light weekend use (without the tank completely filled). My general product perception: 1.) Poor handle construction. The failure was likely due to the selected material in the product design not being of adequate strength to hold the weight, and the manufacturer needing to use RTV to compensate. I suggest Engel review the design to spec a stronger material for the handle to prevent this type of failure. Also, investigation into revise Engels V&V test procedures to account for actual customer use should be ************** Why put metal clasps on the front of the cooler, but plastic hinges on the rear? I suspect these will fail with continued use in the near future.3.) The aerator hose floats, so it will not aerate unless you attach a weight to submerge it. Are these products supposed to be sold with a stone to disburse air and weigh the tube down? If so, I recommend Engel review your final inspection procedures prior to customer shipment, since the product is being sent out without all necessary components.4.) The aerator is extremely loud vs. my home aerator. Is this normal?Overall, I want to convey Im disappointed in the quality I received when using this Engel product.
