    Placed an order on 9/6/2024. Called to obtain status because website said 3 weeks. All extensions have full mailboxes and cannot receive any more messages. Did they go out of business?

    I placed an order back in mid - June. I received an email about a week later stating that the order was in progress and would take about 2-3 weeks. That was on June 25. I just noted it had been a month since hearing the order was in process. I checked the site - there was no update to my order. I called customer service who started they had been delayed in orders due to business - I was initially fine with this, but noted that I had been charged $38.50 for shipping, which I felt was a bit much given an order that was quite delayed. The sales person had me speak to her manager - **** - who was rude to me from the get go. He stated openly Im not sure what you want me to do, were busy. He said the only thing he would do for me was to cancel my order. The situation escalated only because of his rude and off putting behavior. Im happy to have this order cancelled and will place my business elsewhere.

    We received your order on June 19, 2024, for one window screen. On June 25, 2024, we updated you via email with the following information:
    Your order is in progress. Please note the lead time for fabrication of orders is around 2 to 3 weeks from the date ordered. Lead time for fabrication of window screen orders with expedited service is 1-7 business days (roughly 1 to 1 1/2 weeks) from date ordered. Lead time to process and ship stock items is around 7 business days. We will email a ***** or **** tracking number when your order ships. The date in our system is in international format and reads DD/MM/YYYY. We do not ship to PO Boxes.
    We take great pride in our 35 years of providing excellent customer service. When you called, we kindly informed you that this year has been exceptionally busy and apologized for the delay. We assured you that your order would be shipped out that day or the next.
    Regarding the shipping charge, we understand your concerns. Shipping costs have increased significantly due to dimensional weight on bulky items. With only one screen, there is minimal profit. We explained that while we would ship your order immediately, we couldn't waive the shipping fee. When you requested a shipping cost reduction, we offered a full refund if you wished to cancel. You chose to cancel, and we processed it promptly.
    We fabricate over ****** high-quality window screens monthly for satisfied customers and businesses across *****************. As a family-owned and operated business since 1987, we strive for excellence. Occasionally, we may fall short, and for that, I sincerely apologize.
