      This company forced my doctor to retire and the doctor has me on a medication that I have to continue taking or I lose my vision, i have contacted the company multiple times and left multiple messages and they will not call me back or follow up with setting me up with another doctor to follow my care, they also have 2 pairs of my glasses that they will not fix or return! So now I cannot get another doctor, my glasses or my medication or a response from this company!

      To whom it may concern,
      The referenced complaint is about ************************************ NOT ****************************.
      ********************* was not forced to retire.  He opted to hand in his resignation voluntarily.   
      Once we were made aware of his resigning, we sent letters notifying all his current Patients of the closure in a timely manner.   In the letter we refer patients to The Macula Center.  They can choose between 3 Doctors within the ************************** Group.  A copy of the letter that was sent is being submitted with our response to this complaint.   
      ********************* is seeing patients through 10/13/2023.  ****************** had an appointment with him on 9/20/2023.  At which time she did have a few questions that we did not have an answer to at that time.  We advised that we would call her once we knew which Doctor she could see that would be prescribing Acthar Gel.  The medication that she is concerned about.  
      We have an overwhelming number of patients calling and asking questions and for their records.  We are having to call most of them back because there are so many.  I personally spoke to ****************** about 3 weeks ago letting her know that we are trying to find out which Doctor would prescribe the medication.  I added that she need not worry because she has refills to carry her through the end of the year.
      **** from our office called her on 10/5/2023 to let her know which Doctor would be prescribing the Acthar Gel.  She apologized to her for taking a little longer than we had anticipated to get back to her.  She gave ****************** the information. ***************** thanked her for calling and was happy with the information that she was given.  She never mentioned the complaint that she had filed the same day.
      ***************** from the Macula Center called to speak to ***************** himself however he had to leave her a message for a return call.  If she wishes he will continue her plan of care.   
      Glasses -   Her glasses are being made via The Macula Store.  A totally different entity. They were just received from ****************** on September 20th, 2023.  Once the glasses are done, they will be shipped to *******************  It should not take more than a week or two for them to be completed and shipped out.
