8/21/24: Inspection was completed by Dennis Irving. Later I find that he missed mold in the shed, I have 4 windows that do not open, he did not indicate where the sewer output is costing me $575 instead of $375 when Roto-rooter had to pull my toilet to find I had root intrusion, and squeezed section of pipe. He did not mention there wasn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom. We found out that HUD said I needed vinyl skirting. My agent suggested Dennis Irvings company and we went with it.9/13/24: Dennis' employees installed the vinyl skirting. When doing so he says his employees were attacked by wasps and they used "wasp spray" to spray them. The only way I can describe the damage is it ate through a protective layer on my siding. I informed him he was to repair it or replace it. It had to look like it did the day I decided to buy it. He attempted to pressure wash, wash with soap, and finally paint. Images are attached of the paint job they performed. The paint does not match.10/9/24: Hurricane ****** pulled of some of the skirting installed by his company. I found he used old, rusted cement nails that were not secured into the base. I have video proof that the job was not done to the correct standards.10/22/24: got a quote for $650 to repair the skirting and siding, informed Dennis and he offered to pay $200 of it.I have attached images of the home, the work, and email correspondence.I paid $500 for the skirting, and the previous home owners also paid $500.I paid $636 for the 4 point.I have over the limit of photos that can be uploaded, so I can provide upon request.

    Email correspondence:

I get it was an accident, I know it wasnt done maliciously. I feel I have been pretty understanding.
I just want to make sure that I am clear in that if painting over the damage does not bring it back to its original state when I purchased it, it will need to be replaced. I know they didnt do it on purpose, but I did not cause the damage, therefore I will not pay to fix the damage.
    Thank you,
    ***** ********

    Dennis Irving 10/17/24
I completely understand. We will fix it.

    2) Dennis Irving 10/18/24:
I truly am sorry about the hurricane blowing out the skirting but that is a very common occurance in high winds. As for the standard of that repair requested. It was good. Everyone agreed. And I believe the owner paid for half as well.  So that was a good deal for youas well.  I should be able to get someone out there by the first of November. We are booked due to the hurricane. But I will try my very best to accommodate you with that date. I will be in touch soon. Have a good night.

    ******** ******** 1/22/24
I agree that the siding could have come off due to the hurricane, I figured there would be damage. But upon further inspection the installation appears to be less than sufficient.
Yes, I paid $500, and they paid $500 equalling $1000
I have an aluminum company coming out to inspect it and see how much the repairs are going to cost.
If they determine that the issue was due to the hurricane, cook situation resolved.
If they determine that the issue was due to poor installation, we will talk further about payment for proper installation.
I appreciate your efforts to get someone out to me. I would at the very least want the siding repaired for the spray damage by the first. Its been almost a month since it was damaged. (again, I know weather has put a damper on your ability to come out)
    Thank you

    3) Dennis Irving, 11/7/24
We obviously tried our best to match your paint but the siding is old and faded. I can offer you $200.00. Let me know if you accept.
    ******** ********, 11/8/24
Im sorry? But your employees caused the damage, your company pays for the damage.
Your employees did an unsatisfactory job, your company pays for repairs.
If you are not going to cover the full cost, Im going to consult lawyers starting Monday.

Nothing was "fixed" it was patched. There was no attempt to fix the skirting. You agreed that it the siding would have to be to the standard it was when I purchased it. I want the money back to pay the $650 to replace the siding and skirt, I want the money back to pull out and replace the missed mold in the shed. This is more than fair, and is what is right.

    Sincerely,

Again, I offered you $200.00 for the paint issue due to the wasp spray. What you paid is your responsibility, not mine. I clearly outlined that the hurricane damaged your skirting as it did everyone, every home in the state of *******. You need to file a claim with your insurance provider to get a refund on any money spent repairing your skirting. Let me know if you want the $200.00. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

Again, your company damaged my siding your company replaces it there is no need to go though insurance.  It is your responsibility  you agreed to fix it. I made it more than clear that it needed to look like it did when I purchased it  how that happened was up to you

As for the siding, the hurricane didnt use ***** nails. The hurricane did insert those nails into holes at least a half a size larger in diameter than the nails. None of what you did was made to last

the for the inspection, I had another wine come out. You didnt indicate the mold in the shed which bumps up directly to the house. There is no siding between the shed and the house so the mold is right against it. You didnt indicate that the bedroom window didnt open. You didnt indicate where the sewage drainage was, only where the municipal water goes into my house. Because of that I had to pay a $200 dollar difference when I found out there was root intrusion in the pipes causing a massive overflow from my toilet when the washer drained. This is what I believe was causing the mildew smell and the damage to the flooring in the bathroom.

Bottom line, it will cost $650 to clean up your mess.

    Sincerely,
