RoofSource *** came to Re-roof ***** sq ft Manufactured Home, My Home. On July ****** they begin tearing off my roof. After taking a 1/4 of the Roof, I was told I had Structural Damages. I was told it would probably be around $6,000 and my heart sank . I told **** ***** that I had around (20) 1 in x 4 in x 16 ft PT Boards to use, that would work since he was Scabbing 16ft Top Chord of the Truss. But no, that was no good, that I had to buy his 8 ft boards and they would scab them in. i have 16 ft Boards, but he thinks Scabbing is better than one full lenght Board. I really felt I was being scammed, but I needed the Roof, especially when they waited to really Open Up my Roof , for they Scabbed at the beginning and pretty much Scabbed Every Truss. I know in my Bill, they say they Redo All Trusses , ************** and I know they didn't. And what Facia they did remove was not damaged. Also for when they take down the facia, they remove a White Metal Covers. When they put them back up, they used no screws. You can see No Screws in the factory holes. Actually, they only slid the Top part of the White Metal Cover under The Drip Rail and that's it. It is now that I must take care of for what didn't happen. My Soffit at my front door is sagging and part was Nailed with Roofing Nails to hold it up. The Shingles that were put on my house are called Titan XL. I read online they are suppose to have a 10 inch Starter . They gave me a 7 inch Starter. So I googled about using 7 inch Starter Strip and it will cause Damages what I read. So here I sit in a House, that will leak sooner than if installed Correct. They said they Redo All Trusses. Then there should be No Missing Truss Plates and No Bent Down Truss Plates, but I have ************ of missing & bent Earlier I mentioned Scabbing. They scabbed 16ft Board with (2) 8ft boards, in which must be Butted Together with another board to Cover The Crack. Any ********* knows this. And they Threaten a Lien, for work not worthy

RoofSource entered into a signed agreement with the client for a roofing project. As outlined in the agreement, the client committed to paying the full amount by cashiers check.
We provided the client with a significantly discounted rate because we genuinely wanted to help him out and understood his financial situation. From the beginning, our intention was to provide quality work at a fair and manageable price.
Once the roof was removed, we discovered that some of the trusses were damaged and that the sub-fascia was rottedissues that could not have been detected prior to starting the work. These conditions were not noted by the city inspector during the permitting process, nor were they ever mentioned by the homeowner.
As soon as these issues were uncovered, we contacted the homeowner immediately and informed him that additional work would be required to proceed, and that this would result in additional costs. The homeowner verbally agreed to the additional charges and gave us the go-ahead to continue.
Despite these unexpected structural issues, we moved forward and completed the job in full compliance with code and all local building regulations. RoofSource is a licensed roofing contractor and adheres strictly to all applicable standards. The homeowner is not a licensed contractor and has attempted to challenge professional decisions that are required by law and necessary for the safety and integrity of the home.
The project took four full days to complete. The homeowner has security cameras around the entire property and watched us working each day. At no point did he raise any concerns or complaints about the work being doneuntil it came time to pay.
To date, the client has refused to pay anything at all. Given the circumstances, including his behavior and lack of communication, we believe he never intended to pay for the services rendered. We are deeply disappointed, as we have made every effort to accommodate him and to deliver high-quality, code-compliant work at a very reasonable price.
We regret that the client feels dissatisfied, but we have gone above and beyond to ensure the project was done correctly and professionally. We are now exploring all necessary options to protect our business and recover the payment we are rightfully owed.

I am rejecting this response because:  The Roof FAILED Inspection . They lied about Redo All Trusses , Facial and Soffit. I have that I know of so far,3. trusses that are Side by side that either have missing or bent down Truss Plates. Many Scab Jobs done on 16' Top Chord are done incorrect. The Roof has to come back off to do the work. Also the Titan XL shingles were put in with 7 inch Starter Strip when Titan XL from what I read recommended 10 inch. These people do not back their work.

    Sincerely,

I wanted to clarify the reason permit number HC-BTR-25-******* was disapproved. The disapproval was not due to any issues with the roof or trusses, but simply because your home is classified as a manufactured home. In *******************, a permit is not required for roofing work on manufactured homes, and therefore the county has officially withdrawn the permit.
Additionally, please note that Florida Building Code requirements do not apply to manufactured homes in the same way they do to site-built homes. Manufactured homes are governed by a different set of standards, which is why this situation is handled differently than traditional residential structures.
