I hired VllageCrete to redo my pool surface. My pool deck had low surface areas that would hold water and become stagnet and moldy. Also, the old Kool deck spray finish was chipped and deteriorating.. JOEL the owner told me he could take care of the low spots and grind down the old surface, level it with a skim coat and heavy spray, then paint.
After the old surface was grinded down he put a skim coat on top to try to level the low areas. I suggested at this point a bonding agent and a self leveling concrete before he apply the spray coating because the deck was looking quite wavy and looked as if it was going to hold water again. I told him if he didn't do that kind of work that I would hire another company to self-level it and then he could come in and spray over top of it. Joel assured me that he would spray heavier in the low spots and it would level out without having to do that. When it rained the deck held water again, one puddle near the door leading to the yard which tracted in mud and dirt on the pool deck. The mud and dirt would not rinse off, it's stained my pool deck. I spent 4 1/2 hours scrubbing the pool deck only to find it was now stained with dirt that settled into the paint because the pool deck was not sealed after applying the water based paint he used. Also while cleaning the pool deck water would settle into the low spots even behind the patio furniture which caused me to have to pull out all the furniture and squeegee behind it just to rinse my pool deck off .
It's such a mess and extremely time consuming. I called Joel in tears after this long job of trying to clean the stains up and he said he would come back out and repaint and seal it this time. I have been very patient and my text messagege are kind, still with now no response since. He won't respond at all now. I'm easy to work with and just wanted him to at least attempt to make it right. But instead he's chosen to avoid the situation. He won't even acknowledge me.
