I bought a car on August 30 from the Ronning Brothers in ******** and was advised there was only one code on it when I noticed the check engine light. The greased the others obviously before showing me and letting me look it up. Being the only code I purchased anyway knowing the cost of repair, but the next day more error codes and the battery light came in. I bought a new battery, and its still on. There are obviously more code issues and I was lied to the shape of the car was misrepresented and I was frauded. When I brought it to the owners atttention he told menhello grow up just for bringing it to his attention.

Repair fees will be in excess of $5000. I was assured the car was in top condition by Rionning.
I contacted them about the problems with the 2003 Mercedes 500 SL I purchased on July 30, 2022. Although the car seems to run fine there are several problems I encountered within the first week of ownership and have had to take it in for service and repair.
I know purchasing an older car there maybe problems that the car will have and is an "As Is - No Warranty" sale. But the list of problems with this car far exceeds what normal expectations are of problems with this type of car or from a dealer.
      The list so far contains:
Convertible Top - not working, first time I tried to put the top down it stopped after the trunk lid was raised and would not open or close. The service center believes the hydraulics are broken and need to be replaced as hydraulic fluid was found on the passenger's seat
Check Engine Light - this started to come on Monday (2 days after purchase) checked gas cap as this is what does cause the light to come on at times. Service center is checking this to see what the problem is.
Control System - the system has a malfunction and is requesting a code thus it cannot be accessed to check basic car functions - oil level, NAVI, radio setting, etc
Keys - You told me that the key that was not working could be reprogrammed by a Mercedes dealer. This is not true as I went to the dealer and was informed that the key is damaged and will cost around $400 to replace
Flashing Waring Lights - when the car is locked the warning lights come on and flash until the car is unlocked. The service center feels that this is related to a secondary battery that needs to be replace.
CD Changer - Although the changer will accept the 5 disc cartridge, the radio cannot access the changer to play a CD.
Parking Break - The release handle is not attached to the Parking Break. If the Parking Break in used there appears to be no way to release it
      Plus others to be determined
