I Had some tree trimming done on 9/15/23. A crane used to lower the larger branches to my roof for human guiding to ground. (pics avail) My bathroom ceiling caved in on 9/15/24, which was when I found out about the roof damage. No one else has been on my roof, and ALL limbs were removed to 3' clearance from my home. ..so nothing else could have done this. Stratus roofing came to 'patch' and took pics interior from attic and exterior. conclusion was a 'punch through' damage. I contacted McCullough tree service on several occasions , and was told... I cant provide proof, so no claim. I am now trying to replace patch with permanent repair -roof quote is $3,266.50. Plus, I paid $500 to contractor for bath ceiling repair, and $100 to a painter to mud/caulk/paint my bath ceiling. pics

Company is invoicing for payment for a job they failed to complete. Company failed to respond for multiple days after starting job and leaving debris blocking half my driveway. After several days of the company failing to provide a response to our numerous requests they reached back out asking if they could resolve the issue. I responded promptly notifying that the job has already been reassigned. They attempted to safeguard a bad review by picking up the debris they left blocking half my driveway. Meanwhile majority of the job is still yet to be complete. Two days later they decide to invoice me for the entire job as if it was complete. Below is the email i provided to their company notifying them in advance that I had no other option but to find a new company after not receiving a response for several days."Good Morning,This email is to capture the current status of my tree service process and hopefully initiate a response as I have not received an update from your team after several phone calls. The original job time estimate was 4-5 hours. This is now approaching a 3 day job.I was notified on Monday 11/11 that my job date would be moved up to Thursday 11/14 from the original agreed to date of Friday 11/22. The team then showed up on Wednesday 11/13 to begin the job one day early from the adjusted agreed to date. The team then completed about half of the agreed to services on 11/13 and left the debris blocking half my driveway. I then followed up by phone call on 11/14 to ask when the team would return to complete the job, I did not receive a return call. It is now the morning of 11/15 and I have still received no response. Please let me know if there is an intent to return and finish this job. If I dont hear back today - November 15th, I will have no other alternative but to assume our contract is now voided, your company will not be returning and I will find another company to do the job. Thank you -**** ******** ************ "

This job was done right after a hurricane. all work was completed except cleanup of the debris pile. We explained to the client about the delay. Went back a day and a half later cleaned up and hauled away all debris. We also settled the invoice and did not charge homeowner for any of our services that were rendered due to his disatisfaction about the delay.

I hear people talking in my backyard and see the brother of the owner of the property who is (*** my neighbors brother) who begins yelling and cussing at me. I had a stroke because of this, which lead to me speaking to a supervisor of McCullough. They apologized. I mentioned cutting down a dead avocado tree and leaving the wood. They offered to do it for no charge. I requested written consent for coming on my property and cutting down the tree. They either have to put a crane in my driveway or peel back my 6 ft fence. ****** came out with a shovel to take a look at the fence to see where they would place the crane and so on. I asked what they would charge to trim the front two oak trees which was I believe $800. Then I ask for how much to grind the ***** which was another $800. I asked for a contract and he told me he would get it. I said I was not going to pay that to grind down the *****. Now I don't hear anything from ****** and call him twice, 2 weeks later I received no contact and no contract. I later found them on my property trespassing without authorization and found a damaged fence. I drive around the block to see the crane in front of my neighbors house. A black man comes up to my car and starts yelling at me in my car and I begin taking pictures. Then this white man with blonde hair gets in front of the driver side door and starts waving for me to move and I lift up my camera to take a photo and he comes up to me and starts yelling which gives me another stroke. He got within inches of my door and blocks my window and prevents me from moving. I get out of my car and he continues to berate me. He is blocking me from taking photos and says I am going to get in your car and move it. I finally got the photos I needed to prove their trespassing so I get in my car and try to leave. He comes to my house and asks if I am going to pay him and I ask him to finish the job. I want contact from ********************************* and to finish the job then I will pay them.

    More Information..

Client is hostile and verbally aggressive. Endangered himself and others safety while entering the work zone and refusing to move. He had ample notice and communication regarding us being on the property. His neighbor is our client as well, and if he was not in such dire need of removing this dangerous tree we would have opted out simply due to his hostile  neighbor.  My ****** decided to leave  the property due to the berating nature of his comments and his unpredictable behavior. There is a 50 year feud between this man and his neighbor which we are now caught in the middle of. I would prefer to zero his balance than to go back onto his property for the avocado tree. We have done $800 worth of work and he is refusing to pay. We damaged a mesh wire fence on his property and sent a technician to fix it but he had already straightened it and had recently added multiple do not tresspass signs so we did not feel safe walking up to the door to have a conversation with him. He will not respond to my office Administrator when she calls to try and resolve the conflict and he will only call the main office line 20 times in a row to disrespect and berate my receptionist (this was happeneing every day for 1-2 weeks straight.. We have had to resort to ignoring his calls on that specific line. There is no signature on his contract due to him stating that he does not know how to use the computer or have an email and we took his verbal agreement as his Approval for his conveinience.. Could you please advise as to how we should proceed? ************

I sent a whole long explanation to this portal on the day of the complaint. Are you saying it was never received? Also this individual is beligerent, disrespectful, unreasonable and posed a danger to himself and others on more than one occasion. Including berating my employees and placing himself directly in the work zone.  I do not plan to go back to his property. How do I make this right? My ******* made the decision to leave and i trust that decision. Client harassed our office staff for weeks but does not answer when my owner tries to call him. Please advise how we should proceeed to make it right by your standards. He claims to have no knowledge of us coming? But he also wants us to finish the job? This type of behavior on a job site of this nature is unsafe and I am at a loss as of what to do here. Please contact me at **********

McCullough Tree Service voided terms on a contract issued by them. I was really pleased with Brian and was under the assumption we had an understanding of what I wanted to be done.Brian reassured me he would be present the day of trimming so the crew was aware of what they needed to do. First voided term of the contract. He took pictures and issued a contract for me to either accept or decline. I was pleased with what was offered and was looking forward to scheduling the date. Yesterday the crew came and was confused on what exactly was being done. I texted Brian and no response. The crew contacted their boss and said I was quoted incorrectly, that for the job I wanted or what I was quoted would be an extra $300 dollars. Instead on honoring what was issued in a contract, they went ahead and changed everything up. I still believed that what the crew guy was explaining to me would make a difference, well I’ve attached pictures of before and after. I personally would either like my money back or have them come back and complete the job. I have plenty of other quotes from other companies and some much cheaper than them to simply trim a couple branches and some for a couple hundred more remove the entire tree. I paid them $750 cash to their main foreman. They may well be very knowledgeable arborists but business wise of not honoring their own contracts was something I did not like.
