    On Friday 11/22/2024, I, ********* *****, went to Fields Chrysler, Dodge, ********** to trade in my vehicle. It was at this time that I was informed by the dealership that there was lien on the 2017 Jeep Renegade by ***************. Prior to this, there was no knowledge of a lien, as all loan obligations were satisfied in early 2023. Upon being informed of this information, *************** was contacted immediately to resolve the issue at which time **************** of the dealership spoke with ***** at approximately 12:45pm. ***** stated that ******* had written off my loan in July 2022 & sold it to Brightwater Capital December 2022. I then paid the loan off through a settlement agreement with Brightwater Capital via money order for approximately $2800.00 in May 2023. As of today, 11/25/2024, I have not been contacted by Mariner as I was told I would be, and the issue has not been resolved. I have also made multiple attempts to contact Brightwater Capital & the emails have not been responded to and all phone numbers provided go straight to voicemail stating to leave a message and they will call you back in 1-2 business days which no one has yet to return a call. .It is not my responsibility to ensure that Brightwater communicated with Mariner when the loan was satisfied to let them know so the lien could be removed. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue both via phone & via email, Brightwater cannot be reached & has not returned and calls nor responded to any emails.

    I am rejecting this response because: Mariner Finance states that they spoke with Brightwater and Brightwater informed them that my balance is not paid, yet Brightwater says they cannot locate an account in my name and I have received no communication either written or orally from Brightwater in regard to any debt at all in the past 36 months. 

    My legal name has been ********* ***** since my divorce 3 years ago. Prior to that, my legal name was ********* ***. Please provide any available information in order to get this settled & the lien removed from my vehicle.

    Called and spoke with the consumer on 12/5/24. Explained the account was not paid and lien could not be removed until payment was made. I asked for proof of payment and the consumer is unable to provide documents. Consumer understood and asked for a verification letter so that a settlement can be arranged. A verification letter was sent to the consumer by email ***************************** on 12/12/24.

    Not able to contact business. They have a lien on my car and I'm not able to resolve because no one answer or returns phone calls or emails. They are holding my car hostage. I need to resolve this with them.

    I am not liable for this debt with Mariner Finance. I do not have a contract with Brightwater Capital ********** They did not provide me with the original contract and purchase agreement as requested.

    Brightwater Capital, LLC acquired this account from Mariner Finance on December 6, 2022. At the time of the acquisition, ******* provided all documentation submitted by the consumer to establish the loan. This documentation includes a copy of the consumer's photo ID, a photograph of ****************************** holding her photo ID, and the signed contract. All these documents have been sent to the consumer. Following the investigation, the debt has been confirmed as valid, and collection activities will proceed as usual.

    I am concerned that my debt may have been sold to multiple collectors simultaneously, which would be a violation of debt collection laws and create undue confusion. Two separate companies are claiming rights to this debt Brightwater Capital and First Capital Group. To address this issue:
    Please provide validation of this debt, including proof that you have the exclusive right to collect it and include purchase agreement.
    Confirm that this debt has not been sold to any other collection agency.

    This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the ***** which it prohibits. They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. More so they didn't follow the proper 5 step validation procedure which make this unfair practices. According to the ***** Im entitled to ***** dollars per violation and clearly they violated my rights.

    My recently checking my credit report I noticed that I have an account current with ******* and that account was for **** has led to five other accounts on my credit report pull in a credit report from me every six months for TV says it’s the company genesis for late payments I could understand one account but I have five different accounts is where I get confused because they’re all reporting late to my credit is for **** ******* for **** at least ******* *********** I’m just trying to get the accounts, simplified into one account that will report be reporting my late payments on my credit report not all five. I did not give consent to run my credit ever six months and they have no signature to back up that statement I fell the fcc will not approve of this action

    We purchased a ******* *************** **** in the amount of $929.02 and was settled in the amount of $750 in June 2020.

    I have been trying to reach someone at this company to resolve a credit and balance dispute. I had an arrangement with the other company they outsourced this loan to have this account resolved. I am now being told it has been transferred to another company that was more money that what was agreed to. Can someone please contact via phone to try and resolve this matter today my number is ************.
