The documents below is the email I sent to ****** at 3 Brothers on May 19, 2025, and I have not heard back from him. The other documents are pictures of how the movers handled my boxes and items in my garage, placing them carelessly, which resulted in broken articles, as shown in the photos. The moving company was based in **********. Their name was Ship4UTrans. I will also file with the New Jersey Better Business Bureau. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.Business Response

I sent a letter to the New Jersey BBB also regarding Ship 4 You Trans, the actual moving company. To my knowledge they have also not responded to the complaint filed.
I have attached the letter sent to the Florida State Representative Sirios on 6/5/2025. I will also be sending a letter to the New Jersey State Representative, the Attorney General of both states. I believe I should not have been charged as much as I was and am due a refund.
Thank you, Rena Carskadon

I am rejecting this response because:
I sent the above letter to 3 Brothers Moving & Storage, Daniel Thompson on 5/19/2025. In the letter I explained the damages caused by the company they sent to move us. I also detailed how the price of the move kept getting changed and explained that according to their own contract I felt I had been overcharged. I heard nothing from the company either by email or phone. I'm not interested in contacting their customer service regarding just my damaged items. I want someone to address the overpayment and make restitution.Thank you for your assistance,

3 Brothers Moving and Storage quoted a price to move us. At no time did they state they were a brokerage. During the several calls that took place before engaging into contract it was always reiterated that we had a certain date we needed delivery by as we are getting our son relocated for school 3 days drive away and have flights to make, hotel reservations, dog boarding, work schedules to coordinate, etc.. When movers actually showed (****************** and Parts Export who is a company we have never hear off and have a poor review rating), two days later than they were scheduled for, they required additional $1,200 even though no additional items were added, items were actual removed from the move. Now 10 days later after they picked up we keep asking the movers when is our items are going to be delivered and they state they cannot get a date only they will let us know when the truck leaves. Now they are claiming they have up to 21 days from the date we wanted the items delivered to actually delivered which was 2 days ago. 3 Brothers will not respond to phone calls, texts or emails. They lied about everything deceiving me from the get go. And judging from the reviews I am seeing, this is their standard practice. They should not be allowed to continue business and scamming people. And the shady moving company as well. Our son is scheduled to start school on June 2 and we are paying ten on an apt we cannot use, yet we have no idea when we will have furniture now having to get a hotel for him.Business Response

Were sorry to hear about your experience and understand how stressful a move can be, especially when coordinating a relocation on a strict timeline. While we strive to provide clarity and support throughout the process, we want to address your concerns directly and transparently.
As clearly outlined in the signed agreement (Sections 4 and 5), 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC is a licensed moving coordinator/broker, not a motor carrier. This was also reflected in the documentation provided at the time of booking. We coordinate and arrange for transportation with *****-authorized carriers, but we do not physically perform the move ourselves.
The actual moving services for your shipment were provided by the contracted carrier, ***********************************. As stated in your contract, all pickup and delivery dates are estimated (Section 14), and no guaranteesexpress or impliedare made regarding specific delivery dates. The standard industry delivery window, based on distance, is up to 21 business days. Your delivery is still within this contractual window.
Regarding the additional charges at pickup, per Section 9 of the contract, your rate was based on a "Binding Not-to-Exceed" estimate which assumed the accuracy of the item list you provided. If there were discrepancies, or if the carrier assessed additional packing, labor, or weight at the time of pickup, they are permitted under the governing tariff to adjust charges accordingly.
We understand that delays and unexpected changes are frustrating, especially with critical timing involving housing, travel, and school. While 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC is not liable for carrier actions, as your broker, we are actively following up with the carrier on your behalf to help facilitate updates and resolution.
We encourage you to reach out to us directly so we can continue to assist in navigating the situation with the carrier.
Thank you for your understanding.Initial Complaint

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC, we take all customer feedback seriously and aim to clarify any misunderstandings regarding our services and charges.
We understand the customer was originally quoted based on a "Binding to Not Exceed" estimate. As stated in our agreement, this estimate is based on the inventory and services provided by the customer and does not cover additional items, services, or accessorial charges not originally disclosed.
Upon arrival, our team determined that there were more items and services required than initially listed by the customer. These included additional household goods, extra labor, and accessorial services.
It is also important to note that the customer waived the right to a physical survey in accordance with 49 CFR 371.113(C)(1), and the binding estimate was prepared using the item list provided by the customer. As per the signed agreement, any additions to inventory, services, or labor at origin or destination result in charges per our governing tariff. These policies are clearly outlined in our contract.
We regret that the customer feels misled, but all charges applied were in accordance with the agreed terms and the scope of services actually rendered during the move. We are happy to provide copies of the estimate, signed contract, and detailed invoice for full transparency.
At 3 Brothers Moving & Storage, we remain committed to honest communication and customer satisfaction. We encourage all customers to provide accurate item inventories and access details upfront to ensure the most accurate estimate and a smooth moving experience.Initial Complaint

Was quoted $1,600.00 move from ** to **. This company is the worst **** I have ever had to deal with. They were giving the deposit in the beginning. I added more to the move and paid the difference. When they arrived it suddenly changed to marks on the truck for sizing. You can not get a hold to who quotes the job. They disappear and give a lame excuse. So I went from 1600 to 2500. They called while I was on my way and asked if there were any stairs as I told them in the beginning that there was two flights. Upon arrival they demanded 150 move or they would leave it at the parking lot. Oh and a warehouse fee. When all said and done I was over $3500. They know exactly what they are doing. Stay away form this company. I could go on and on. They are scammers.Business Response

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC, we take all customer feedback seriously and aim to clarify any misunderstandings regarding our services and charges.
We understand the customer was originally quoted approximately $1,600 for a move from ******** to ******* based on a "Binding to Not Exceed" estimate. As stated in our agreement, this estimate is based on the inventory and services provided by the customer and does not cover additional items, services, or accessorial charges not originally disclosed.Upon arrival, our team determined that there were more items and services required than initially listed by the customer. These included additional household goods, extra labor, and accessorial services such as:
Additional stairs: Our estimate includes one flight of stairs at both origin and destination. The presence of two flights, as confirmed by the customer at pickup, results in a $75 fee per additional flight.
Long carry: When our truck cannot park within 75 feet of the residence, a long carry fee (starting at $150) applies. This was necessary in this case due to access limitations.
Shuttle service or truck size adjustment: If our standard tractor trailer cannot access the pickup or delivery site, smaller vehicles or extra handling may be necessary, resulting in additional fees.It is also important to note that the customer waived the right to a physical survey in accordance with 49 CFR 371.113(C)(1), and the binding estimate was prepared using the item list provided by the customer. As per the signed agreement, any additions to inventory, services, or labor at origin or destination result in charges per our governing tariff. These policies are clearly outlined in our contract.

I contracted with 3 Brothers Moving and Storage to move my furnishings from ******, ** to *******, *****. They said that the move would take anywhere from 5 to 8 days and then it changed to 7 to 14 days. The carrier was named as ************** out of ******** and the pick up date was set for April 4, 2025. On this date a third party came to pick up my personal items and move them to a warehouse in ******, ** pending scheduling and pick up by **************. I was never told about this interim step by 3 Brothers and it is now April 10, 2025 and I am being told by 3 Brothers that ************** dispatch is trying to put me on a schedule and may have a date for me some time this weekend. We would first like to extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience experienced during the customers relocation process. At 3 ********************************************* & ******************** LLC, we are committed to facilitating smooth and transparent moving services for all of our clients.
It is important to clarify the role of 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC in this transaction. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, which were acknowledged at the time of booking:
4. CUSTOMER HAS HIRED 3 ********************************************* & ******************** LLC AS A MOVING COORDINATOR/SHIPPER AGENT/BROKER AND NOT TO HANDLE OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATE IN A MOVE AS A CARRIER. IN ACTING AS A SHIPPER AGENT ONLY, 3 BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE LLC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THE CARRIER OR ITS EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS. CUSTOMER MUST PURSUE THE CARRIER FOR ALL CLAIMS FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, LOST OR STOLEN GOODS, DELAYED PICKUP OR DELIVERY, ACTIONS OF ESTIMATORS, DRIVERS, PACKERS OR MOVERS, OR OTHER TYPES OF CLAIMS. 3 BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE LLC WILL ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CUSTOMER IN RESOLVING ANY CLAIMS OR DELAY ISSUES WITH THE CARRIER.
The pickup of the customers belongings was completed by a local pick up team who temporarily transported the items to a secured warehouse pending scheduling by the primary carrier, *************** federally licensed and authorized *********** carrier. While this interim warehousing step may not have been emphasized during the initial consultation, it is a standard industry practice used to stage shipments for long-distance relocation.
The customer was provided with an estimated delivery window based on the distance of the move, as outlined in our documentation:
14. ALL PICKUP, LOAD AND/OR DELIVERY DATES ARE ONLY ESTIMATES. ANY TIME FRAMES GIVEN FOR PICK UP AND/OR DELIVERY ARE ESTIMATED TIMES OF ARRIVAL ONLY AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. 3 BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE LLC WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGES INCURRED BY UNAVOIDABLE DELAY. 3 BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE LLC WILL ACT ON THE BEHALF OF THE CUSTOMER IN RESOLVING ANY CLAIMS OR DELAY ISSUES WITH THE CARRIER. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEES MADE, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED REGARDING PACK, LOAD, AND/OR DELIVERY DATES.
For reference, the distance between ******, **, and *******, **, is approximately ***** miles, which falls within the 7 to ******************************** our policy.
5. AS A PROPERLY LICENSED INTERSTATE MOVING COORDINATOR/SHIPPER AGENT/BROKER, 3 BROTHERS MOVING & STORAGE LLC IS NOT A MOTOR CARRIER AND WILL NOT TRANSPORT AN INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMER/SHIPPER HOUSEHOLD GOODS, BUT WILL COORDINATE AND ARRANGE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF HOUSEHOLD GOODS BY ANY ***** AUTHORIZED MOTOR CARRIER, WHO CHARGES WILL BE DETERMINED BY ITS PUBLISHED TARIFF. ALL ESTIMATED CHARGES AND FINAL ACTUAL CHARGES WILL BE BASED UPON THE CARRIER TARIFF WHICH IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION FROM THE CARRIER UPON REASONABLE REQUEST.
We understand the frustration caused by lack of communication from the carrier, and we are actively working on behalf of the customer to secure a firm delivery schedule. Although we do not operate the trucks or employ the drivers, we continue to advocate on behalf of the customer to ensure prompt resolution.
If the customer has any further questions 3 ********************************************* & ******************** LLC remains available to assist.Initial Complaint

I need to address a serious issue regarding my contract with this moving company. I had an agreement with *****, my sales representative, over the phone for the moving of several items: a queen bed, a king bed, a dining room table with four chairs, a 40-inch flat-screen television, a couch, a loveseat (not oversized), a small two-drawer dresser, a larger dresser, and approximately 5-10 boxes. The representative claimed that they would accommodate ***** boxes without any change in price, and I repeatedly confirmed that the price would remain the same. However, on the moving day, the movers only transported the loveseat, the couch, both beds, and around six boxes. I had paid a deposit of $620, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. Yet, the workers demanded an additional $1,450 before they would release my belongings, which is several hundred dollars, more than our agreed-upon price. I have reached out multiple times through calls and emails, but now, suddenly, I cannot get a response. They used to answer my calls without hesitation, but now there's complete radio silence. I demand a refund of a portion of my money, as they have clearly violated our contract. It's essential to understand that a contract can only be amended by mutual agreement, not unilaterally. I've had to rent another truck to get the additional items to my new residence that they should have been responsible for.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concerns regarding the moving services, and wed like to address the situation based on the terms outlined in our contract and policies.
As per the agreement, your move was covered under a "Binding Not to Exceed" price, which means that the total cost would not exceed the estimated amount provided, as long as the description of items and services was accurate. You have acknowledged that a physical survey was waived, and instead, an estimate was given based on the list of items you provided.
Upon reviewing the details of your move, it appears that there were discrepancies between the items you listed and what was actually moved. According to our policy, any additional items, services, or labor that were not initially included in the description provided (such as additional furniture or boxes) would be subject to additional charges based on our governing tariff rates.
While we understand your frustration regarding the discrepancy in the number of boxes and the extra charges you encountered, we must clarify that the charges reflect services rendered according to the actual items moved, the weight of the shipment, and the additional labor required, as outlined in the agreement. The binding estimate was based on the initial list of items provided, and any changes or additional items added during the move resulted in additional charges.
Unfortunately, because the terms of the contract allow for adjustments to the price based on changes to the moves scope, and because the movers followed these terms during the course of the job, we are unable to provide a refund of any portion of your payment.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused, and we are more than happy to discuss this further with you to provide clarity on the breakdown of the charges.Initial Complaint

Thank you for reaching out and for your patience as we address the concerns raised in your complaint. We understand the frustration of having valuable items go missing, and we would like to provide clarification regarding the role of 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC and the process for resolving your claim.
As a moving coordinator/shipper agent/broker, 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC was hired to coordinate the logistics of your move, but please note that we are not responsible for handling or directly transporting the goods. Our role was strictly limited to facilitating the movement of your belongings with a licensed carrier, and not as the actual carrier responsible for the physical transportation.
Carrier Responsibility and Claims Process: Since we acted as your moving coordinator, we are not responsible for the actions of the carrier, its employees, or agents. As such, all claims for property damage, lost or stolen goods, or any other issues related to the move should be directed to the carrier who physically transported your belongings. It is important that you pursue these claims with the carrier.
While 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC will assist in resolving any claims or delays with the carrier on your behalf, the responsibility for these claims lies solely with the carrier.
Liability: Regarding the lost or damaged items, we would like to remind you that the carrier's maximum liability is limited to the lesser of the following:
The actual loss or damage value,
An amount equal to ***************************************************************** damaged article, or
The lump sum declared value of the goods.
Next Steps: We have provided you with the necessary claims information, and it is important that you follow the claims process online with the claims company. Unfortunately, we are unable to directly intervene in the claims process for lost or damaged goods, as this is handled by the carriers insurance. We encourage you to continue with the online claims process, as this is the appropriate channel for addressing the situation.
As a properly licensed interstate moving coordinator/shipper agent/broker, we are not a motor carrier and do not transport household goods directly. The charges related to your move were determined by the carriers published tariff, which is available for inspection upon reasonable request.
We understand that this situation is disappointing, and we are here to assist with any further questions you may have regarding the claims process. However, please be advised that the responsibility for resolving claims regarding lost or damaged property rests with the carrier, not 3 Brothers Moving & Storage LLC.
Thank you for your understanding.Customer Answer

Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
