This company and I completed a six month contract in December 21, 2024 and they continue to market my company and collect from my account and refuse to stop. I have attempted multiple times to remind them that we no longer have a contract and they refuse to acknowledge this fact and make excuses to not discontinue to post advertising for my business. I have been sending emails and calling since August to end this partnership and they keep saying whatever that can to prevent me from exiting. I have dont it their way even and they dont follow the agreement. All I want is to never hear from them again now that I have honored all of their requirements.

I was lied to about what services would be provided by a Marketing Firm. They then held me to a six month contract that ended on Dec.21, 2024 and would not let me end the relationship until 60 days later. So I agreed to continue even though I did not want to and felt that it was a bait and switch. So when Feb. ***************************************************************************************** $1276 and said that they had to keep working on my business until they were told not to by internal departments. This company has threatened me with taking me to court if I did anything to try and stop working with them. They have accused me of terrible things and I have been forced to allow them to continue to represent me online for months since the contract ended.I just want them to leave me alone and they are dragging this on.

The terms of our services are clearly outlined throughout the contract (which you signed). Our terms and conditions clearly outline our cancellation procedure (which you also signed within one (1) inch) and clearly states that cancellation notices must be emailed to our support team and not through our internal software. We've had multiple conversations with you regarding our cancellation process explaining that work from our fulfillment team must continue until we receive notification from support that your cancellation request has been received and processed. We've explained this to you in when you first started your contract in July, again in December, and again on February 2nd in which you responded, "Yes that does help. Thank you for clarification.", so we are confused as to how we are "holding you to a contract" or "forcing to represent you online". If you have questions regarding your cancellation request you can contact ************************************** cancellation and/or billing concerns are not handled through Basecamp. The contract you signed is legally binding, therefore any nefarious actions in an effort to break that contract will be met with the appropriate legal action. Please conduct yourself accordingly.

I am rejecting this response because: I DID SEND TWO REQUESTS TO SUPPORT@THEADLEAF AND THEY WERE CONFIRMED BY ***********************************.

MY CONTRACT ENDED ON DEC.21.  I SENT THE REQUEST TO END THE CONTRACT IN WRITING.  I HAVE 2 REQUESTS IN MY SENT EMAILS. YOU ARE PREVENTING ME FROM EXITING THE PARTNERSHIP THAT NO LONGER EXISTS.

    Sincerely,

My experience has been negative, and I found that The Ad Leaf was indifferent to my concerns! Also, I believed I was signing a six month contract when actually I was signing a 6 month contract with an open end that gives them the advantage to collect extra funds for services whether I wanted them or not, a very shady practice for such an apparently good company! They have continued to advertise for a company that is no longer in business and has not been for several months! They really don't seem to care that the business is no longer, they just continue to keep promoting it anyway!

We would like to address the concerns you've raised regarding the services provided by The AD Leaf.

At no point has The AD Leaf participated in "shady activities" or tried "taking advantage" of a client during the terms of this or any contracted agreement. During the signing process, each client is asked to initial throughout the document in various places; one of these places being within 1 centimeter from the terms and conditions that outline that our contracts are two-term contracts as well as the steps necessary to cancel your services. To claim, that you thought you were only signing a single term 6-month contract is entirely false and based on your statement, shows that you did not thoroughly read through the agreement before signing.

The AD Leaf has always maintained a committment to ethical business practices and has never engaged in activites inteded to harm a company's business. From the start of our relationship we have made multiple attempts by multiple staff members (calls, emails, and message board conversations) between August and December to communicate with you to discuss strategies for your business and at no point have you responded to our team or expressed that the business was facing closure during that time.

I have voiced my opinion and my experience with The Ad Leaf and I will not recanter. Should The Ad Leaf continue their course of action, we plan on counter suing for several reasons of what we believe to be misconduct and misrepresentation on the part of The Ad Leaf. Also, like The Ad Leaf we have emails, text messages, ******** communications showing for the first several weeks trying to resolve is***s that started from the beginning. From the beginning The Ad Leaf did not want to cooperate with the is***s that were our concerns. We have paid them 6months in full and have not cheated them out of a dime. Now they want us to pay them $8,000 or they're going to *** us for stating our dissatisfaction with their conduct. Furthermore Ad Leaf, it looks like I'm not the only one that has filed complaints for their dissatisfaction and your so called ethical business practices.

The AdLeaf charges for services they are not providing. They charge $936/mo for the two services of SEO and ****** Ads Management. In July they requested information to get my company’s ****** Ads verified. After several weeks, the verification was not approved so The AdLeaf began offering other services to replace the ****** Ads management since they are not able to manage a service that is not running. I said that I was open to discussing other options, but to not charge my card for both services in September since we had not come to an agreement about what second service for them to offer. They stated they would charge me for two services and figure out what other service to provide later. I repeatedly called and emailed Spencer M******* and Annette T***** to advise this did not work for me and to not charge for two services when they acknowledge they are incapable of providing the second service we originally contracted them for. On September 1st, they charged the full $936. I canceled all services with them and disputed the charge to my bank as the charge was for upcoming services, not work provided. In retaliation, on September 19th The AdLeaf requested ****** remove our company website from ****** My Business, disabled all bot crawlers to prevent ****** from listing our website, and made multiple tweaks to harm our company’s ****** ranking. After this I removed all of their access to any website and ****** logins. They are unable to manage On October 1st, they charged $936 again even though they do not provide any services and are actively harming my business.

We would like to address the concerns you've raised regarding the services provided by The AD Leaf.

First and foremost, we want to emphasize that the delay in the ****** Ads verification process was indeed beyond our control. ******'s approval process can vary in duration, and we made every effort to expedite it. We reached out to you multiple times during this period to discuss alternative strategies -while still completing multiple Tiers on your website, providing updates, analytics, and recaps of all of our work.- to minimize any disruption to your services. Our documented efforts to maintain communication demonstrate our commitment to providing a solution despite the unforeseen delay from ******.

On August 25th, we proposed the implementation of native ads as an alternative to ****** Ads, and we were pleased that you agreed to consider this approach. However, subsequent discussions regarding this service were limited due to communication challenges. We made diligent attempts to continue the conversation, but it became increasingly difficult to reach you.

Regarding the billing matter in September, it's important to note that our contractual agreement -which you signed- explicitly acknowledges that the ****** Ads verification process may experience delays, which are beyond our control. Therefore, any billing for both services during this period adhered to the terms of our agreement. We firmly believe that our actions were consistent with the agreed-upon terms.

In your review, you stated the following: "They stated they would charge me for two services and figure out what other service to provide later." We want to emphasize that The AD Leaf Marketing Firm never makes such statements. That's why we have a contract that fully supports our actions, backed by over a decade of experience.

We would like to emphasize that we have always maintained a commitment to ethical business practices and have never engaged in any activities intended to harm your company's online presence. Any perceived retaliatory actions were not initiated by The AD Leaf.

If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this matter in detail, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

The contract that was signed by the client clearly states that the work products created or produced by The AD Leaf will remain the property of The AD Leaf until all debts are paid in full. As the client has not paid, and in some cases has wrongfully and fraudulently charged back payments made to us, we had no choice but to limit access, remove, or withhold work products from the client. The AD Leaf has abided by the terms of the contract, but we have been forced to take these measures to protect our work products and proprietary information and software. We have reached out to the client repeatedly to try to reach a resolution, but the client has continued to make defamatory remarks.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 10/17/2023

Additional information: In addition to The Ad Leaf not setting up ******’s bot crawlers that they disabled, they also did not add my website to ****** maps, which I have evidence of them requesting to be removed. This is again contradictory to their claim they only removed their proprietary work or products.

Please add this amendment to my statement provided today, 10/17/2023.
