    Melbourne Flight Training advertises their prices lower than what they actually cost, have high failure/repeat rates, and an unethical enrollment contract. I joined the school and within one week realized it was not a good fit for me. The President had a meeting with all students in frustration about the student failure rate during my first week, multiple other indicators about lack of student success were brought to my attention, and my flight instructor was teaching false information about flying an airplane that could have affected my success in the school. When requesting to withdraw, I was forced to pay the penalty listed in the enrollment contract of over $20,000. $20,000 for 3 flights and a week of ground training is absurd and wrong. I tried to negotiate and was willing to pay for the entirety of my private pilot training (even though I only went on three flights) but the owner didn’t budge. Use caution with this school unless you’re okay with paying more than advertised, you’re okay with their failure rates, and you’re okay with paying the price of a brand new car if you find the school isn’t a good fit for you.
