I received a Home owners Insurance Quote from Kasey Osman Insurance in a flyer $4,606.57.First - he is actually ALLSTATE Insurance. When he came back with a quote after a few questions: The quote was not from Allstate - It was from other Insurance company for $14,262 ******* Peninsula. The new quote is over 3 times his initial offering

At the bottom of the advertisement piece it states "This is merely a proposal and not a polciy of insurance or offer to insure. The company reserves the right to accept, reject, or modify this proposal after investigation, review of the applicaiton, and review of all other underwriting information. Your rate could vary based on difference of your home, your age, credit rating and other factors." Yes we are an Allstate agency who brokers the home insurance through 12 diffrerent carriers because Allstate does not currently write homeowners insurance in the ****************. Because we offer insurance through other carriers we are not allowed by Allstate to have their name or logo on this advertisement piece. The proposal does estimate best case scenario for your wind mitigation credits and higher deductible. ************* did not receive all the credits based on his wind mitigation inspection which is why the actual quote varied from the estimated proposal.

I am rejecting this response because:

Bait and switch. With the Insurance Issues ******* is having, we look for honest, up front insurance agents that are trying to help. NOT some non insurance agent that doesn't say he is really Allstate, and send out BS flyers with a quote (BAIT) and then sends me a quote from a real insurance company with a quote that is 2.5 times high then the flyer quote (SWITCH).

Change you flyer and be more honest with your advertising. Oh, Fire you advertising person.

    Sincerely,

    *********************

******** has been charging me almost $300 a month instead of $87 that stated by customer support. I called and spoke with Kate O**** who refused to refund the over pricing, claiming i received a letter in the mail was sent to me advising my insurance would go up if i dont sign the uninsured form. I have never received this letter, still they refused to charge me $125 instead of $300 they have taking out of my account without my knowledge. This is not the first incident with all state when they charged $176 and never gave me the insurance cards for weeks,

    Business Response

    Date: 10/30/2023

Hello, First point is that there is not an agent named Kate O**** in this agency. There is a Kasey and a Kyle O****, but neither of us have had any discussions with Mr ***** The only person in my agency that he spoke with is Samantha K******

He called ************** and received a motorcycle quote on 4/27/23.

This policy was quoted and bound through the *****-******** call center and not my office on 5/5/23.

The first time he contacted my office was on 5/12 @10:36am to ask us some changes to this new motorcycle policy. We informed him that it was still in New Busisness review with the Underwriting department and that we would not have any access to the policy. We told him to call ************** to see if they could access is since they were the department to bind the policy.

On 5/22/23, Mr **** called ************** and had another motorcycle polciy bound for the same vehicle.

Then Samantha K***** emailed him on 6/23 @ 1:46pm regarding some changes that he was requesting to the policy and had us terminate his first policy effective 5/5/23 which we informed him we could only backdate the cancellation to 5/9, we completed this transaction had he received his refund of $103.86 on 6/8/23.

On the newer motorcycle policy he never signed the Applicaiton, supplied proof of homeownership, nor signed the Uninsured Motorist Rejection Form (which is a legal form required by the State of Florida). The ******** system recognized that Mr **** has not signed the required Uninsured Motorist Form, so it automatically generated a new Uninsured Motorist Form and mailed it to him on 6/29/23 and it stated that this form must be received by 7/8/23 or the Uninsured Motorist Coverage would be added back onto the policy and increase the premium.

On 7/15/23, Mr *****s new Motorcycle declartion page was generated showing the Uninsured Motorist Coverage has been added.

On 8/1/23, Mr **** was mailed a new Recurring Credit Card Payment Schedule which reflected the updated premium with the Uninsured Motorist added back on. Mr **** had made payments of $287.57 on 8/21, 9/2, and 10/20.

Our next contact with Mr **** occurred on 10/23 after he called into our office and spoke with Samantha regarding the increase on his monhtly payments. Samantha advised him that this was due to the Uninsured Motorist Rejection Form was never received which increased his premium since the Uninsured Motorist Coverage was added back onto his policy. Mr **** claimed that he was never told that he needed to sign this form or the application and stated that he never received the Uninsured Motorist Form in the mail around 6/29.  He argued that he never received anything from us and living in a condo, sometimes they don't always get their mail. He argued that this is a scam and he was going to contact the BBB to get his refund of premium. Advised that it is not a scam, it is a legal document and we are not responsible for mail not being received. They were also provided Alfredas email when the policy was written instead of his which may be the reason HE didn't receive any email notices, but notices were sent. He still argued that it's illegal for us to change his coverage without making him aware. I advised, for the seventh time, that he WAS notified by email AND physical mail. We removed the UM from his policy and emailed the UM form for him to print and scan or mail back. Samantha received an email and had our final correspondence with Mr **** (email below):

As I stated when we spoke on the phone, I cannot backdate the coverages without some kind of proof. Verbally stating that you were not told correctly is not enough of a basis for me to backdate this coverage. This policy was not written in our office, therefore I have no notes or call recordings to go off of. I can only make the coverage effective for the date the form is physically signed.

If you would like to try and escalate this further, you will need to contact Customer Service @ 800-255-7828 after 5:30pm to investigate further. If you call this number during office hours, they will refer you back to our agency.
