  Excel Solar has been outstanding. When a hail storm hit my parents' home, we needed a company to remove and then reinstall their existing solar panels, for a reroofing project. I coordinated the project with Excel Solar and was happy with this company. The office staff and installers are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. We appreciate their professionalism.

  This company gouges customers while management is in complete disarray! I asked them to give me a price to repair the pool solar system mounts that were installed in 2019 that were curling up from the roof. The woman who took the call said the company was in transition and they had no record of the work they did for me before. It took them months before they sent anyone out to my home to asses the situation, then they charged me $187 to have their technician look at the mounts and say they were fine. NO WORK WAS DONE! I refused to pay and they came back with an apology and a $120 price for the service call they said I agreed to. I only wanted an estimate. Then they had another woman call me to try and strongarm me into paying. She literally harassed me over the phone until I hung up on her. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and this company, who I thought were reputable because of prior work they had done for me, is a sham under the new managment/owner. BUYER BEWARE!

  We are sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your experience with Excel Solar. According to our records, we did quote you a price of $120.00 to send a technician to assess your system. This was the cost for the technician to travel to your home, inspect the system, and (if necessary) complete repairs. This price is reduced from our normal rate of a $149.00 service charge. After reviewing the work order from your recent appointment, it is apparent the technician miscalculated the bill and wrote $187.00. However, you did sign the work order when it was presented to you by the technician. By signing, you approved our technician's notes about the system and the charges. In response to your concerns, the bill's total was corrected to reflect a total of $120.00, which was initially quoted.
  
  We are sorry that our communication was not clear. When a service call is completed, Excel Solar always applies a service charge for inspecting and potentially repairing systems we did not install. Regarding the scheduling delays, we acknowledge this was an issue and do apologize for any inconvenience this aspect may have caused for you and your family.

  The technician had NO notes on the work order that I signed (nor did he give me a copy) because he was not sure if there would be a cost since no work was done. He only told me that he needed to consult with you since the $120 quoted price was for a REPAIR not an estimate that he would have to work up after consultation. Then he said the mounts were fine and did not need to be repaired. I assumed there would be no cost, then, I got you bill. The copy of the work order you sent me appears to have been doctored after the fact since the writing is not consistent throughout and the date of service has been whited out. I was shocked to say the least, after having to wait for your technician to come out after four months and then I get a huge bill for him to look at the mounts! Your communications with your customers is awful and lacks professionalism. I have tried to reach some conclusion here, but will continue to spread the word about your company's lack of ethical practices through social media reviews if this issue is not dropped.
