      This painting company took my deposit $4000 and immediately issued a $1500 change order and collected half ($750). They were about to issue another one for the same thing. At this point they had done NO work that was proposed. I was told if I don't pay the change order they won't come back. They had no intention of completing the work. They were scamming money from me until I told them to stop. They spent 20 minutes at 7pm changing 2 pieces of wood (which had to be redone). Plus the owner spent 3 weeks driving to my home trying to talk me out of more money. They can keep $750 for the time, effort and materials. The material that was left at my house was 2 pieces of 10' 1x4's.

      Please see attached memorandum. And I can attach text messages between both **** and Solutions Paint & ********* There was no scamming and we never said we werent coming back. Nor did we say anything about doing a change order to request more money. If anything she was trying to scam her insurance company with getting money for her roof and using it for the siding and painting of her house. And she also wanted to change her windows and was requested for us to hold off till she decided on changing out windows. She wanted to change windows without having to permit them when we said we cannot do that. Solutions Paint & ********* Is done with the lies. And in the mix of her telling us to hold off she probably found someone to do it cheaper. We have done thousands of customers and never have had any complaints.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I did not let her go to hire a "cheaper company", I became aware that she was going to continue to ask me for more and more money before doing any actual work. Example: If she paid a Subcontractor $2700 for attaching 5 pieces of wood that took him 20 minutes (I have Ring footage) how much more would she have charged me to do my ****sf home? Other than 2 pieces of siding and 2 1x4's there were NO other supplies, materials, or paint were ever delivered, and I never saw any receipts. I have asked her numerous times for her to show me receipts or drop of all the paint. Additionally, she told me she was licensed and insured, when actually her licensing had expired (business tax receipt) attached. ********* Construction completed the job for the contract price. And they used the products I wanted (****** Board with Elastomeric Paint and Coating). $4750 for 20 minutes of actual work and numerous drive by's just doesn't make sense. I honestly believe that she saw an older single woman with a big house and thought she could get money out of me. And She DID

      I was not asking her for more money. Its in the contract it states unforseen I just wanted to make her aware of this. And my contract is the receipt. In Brevard County you no longer need to be licensed for painting contractor. ******** construction is her daughters boyfriend company so yes she did file this complaint because they did it for cheaper or because she fraudulently used the insurance money given for her roof to fix the siding and paint. Which Im sure they lied to insurance and said they fixed the roof. Besides that I was not taking advantage of an older lady with a big house. Thats just ridiculous I came in contact with her because my brother was training her dogs at the time and she was telling him she needed her house painted. So thats how all this came into play and it had been months before that we spoke and I sent the contract. Because she was waiting for insurance money. Honestly I am not going to reply anymore and with that house I wouldve charged way more to do the work that needed to be done. I gave her a good price. This isnt getting resolved so please leave me alone. You are a manipulator and you are now taking trying to take advantage of me. Of you cant tell the truth please leave me alone.

      Unfortunately, ****** has no intention of returning my money. Just like she had no intention of painting my home. Now she's just making things up because she's mad. ******** Construction is owned by ***************. ********. He is married to *********************************. My daughter does work there, (so she had that right) but theirs's is a professional work relationship. My homeowner's insurance paid out an old roofing claim when they left *******. I'm sure that's what she's talking about. All these 'stories' have nothing to do with why she won't return my money. It appears that I will be contacting my Attorney. I appreciate your effort BBB.
