I was offered acting classes for the month of November in the amount of $500 dollars. I paid ***************************** via Zelle using my checking account. This classes were to include 1 weekly in person couching, 1 weekly zoom and 1 weekly group class. The first contact was through Instagram 10/24/23---10-26/23 then a phone call on 10/27/23. On 10/31 the owner of the company asked me to meet him in person for the couching in the lobby of an apartment building. I questioned him as to why there if his company on sun biz lists another address, he said they had moved to a different location. I later found out that the apartment complex is where ****************' girlfriend lives. After the initial meet, I text him several times to schedule the November classes meet **** and he would not reply. So, I got scared and texted him asking him for my money back minus the one meet. It was only after I asked for a refund that he reply back saying he didn't have the money to repay me. He asked me to give him one month so he can refund me. To this day it has been more than a month and he has not refunded me my payment. It everything seemed very odd to me. I sent him as well as his brother who is co-owner of the company as well as his girlfriend, a certified letter asking for my refund. I am asking for a $400 dollar refund, plus any costs I incurred in sending certified letters. Totaling $434.24.
