    I have now spent two hours trying to open an account with **********************. I have verified myself a plethora of times as well as speaking to agents of TB to NO avail. I cannot believe they have any customers if this is the length of time it takes to open an account. I finally finished the application and it is now in a pending status. The agent told me he would escalate the process but since his manager is on vacation, it could take up until next week. This is a bank not a mortgage company. I want this account opened today or at the latest tomorrow.

    I have a money market account with TotalBank. In November I was charged $60 service fee. After talking to their associate, I was told because I had 12 withdraws from my account, which was 6 over the limit of 6 withdraws per month. Each withdraw over the limit was charged $10, therefore, total $60 charges for the month. I want to complain about the practice with the following reasons:1. No one made me aware of the 6 withdraws per month limit when I opened the account. I am sure it is buried somewhere in the agreement, but it is still the bank's responsibility to let the customer know about any fees up front.2. Instead of charging the fee on an ongoing basis when the first occurrence happened and giving the customer a timely awareness of the charge, they charged the total amount at the end of month and took away an timely opportunity for the customer to remedy the situation early to prevent any further charges after the first occurrence.3. 2 of the 6 withdraws over the limit were from the trial deposits from the external banks when I set up the transfer connections to the external banks. Even these 2 were counted against me, which were not really my ************ seems to me that the bank is trying to get as much fees as possible from the customers and does not have the best interest of the customer in mind.

    Total Bank hindered my opening a ** account funded by a money market account. It then converted the interest payable on that money market account while the ** was being opened, all pursuant to a policy that accounts which eventually had zero balances would forfeit interest, prompting an unjust enrichment for the bank.Likewise, Total Bank's customer service representatives are employed by other banks, notably ********, a fact that is not disclosed to customers and which undermines the confidentiality expected of employees with full access to my banking information.
