    I had on 8/29/2024 at 815 a RUQ abdominal ultrasound by a negligent technician who did not follow the ************ provider ************* order for an upper abdominal ultrasound due to left abdomen pain ICD code ******. Even though I explained to the technician that I have pain in the left side of the abdomen and this was the reason for the ultrasound she ignored me and said I will need a new order for the left abdomen ultrasound instead of calling the pcp to verify the order. I felt mistreated and ignored as she did unethical and unprofessional comments about my diagnosis. I need the correct order to be done as they have it in their system without charging the insurance again and having another copay. I want to clarify that the only order provided at the diagnostic imaging center was for an Upper abdomen ultrasound.

    This was a mistake by our ultrasound technologist. We called the patient's daughter and apologized. The technologist performed a Right Upper Quadrant exam as opposed to an Upper Abdomen.

    The patient was brought back and got re-scanned at no additional charges.
