On October 10th 2024, ******* and I spoke about the possibility of her catering my wedding. I was very clear about the fact that I was very happy to have cake and coffee, however, my husband wanted some food. I asked if she could accommodate for appetizers, and that I wouldnt be able to pay the average $25 per head. Max I could pay $10, and that I wanted something very small as we would all be going to a restaurant afterwards, where everyone would pay for their own meal. She went in to say that she could work something out. She had an espresso machine from a past wedding we could use, and she asked about what food we liked. I advised I like meat my soon to be husband likes ceviche. She advised she could make that happen and she was actually exited. On October 13, she advised the invoice had been sent. We spoke on the phone and she advised her quick books had been having issues generating the invoice, so she would send me the screenshots. When I opened the email it had 3 visible screen shots out of 7 I never saw the other 4 everything discussed was in the first 3. The first had our name, the second discussed exactly want we talked about. Cake, coffee, ceviche, and (instead of meat she had bacon wrapped scallops) and the third event production details. This page had the amount I would need to pay ******. The bottom advised a 25% was needed to reserve the date.On October 15, I emailed requesting the scallops be changed for churrasco appetizer portions, from the menu she had sent. On October 19, I sent her al the details for my card and drivers license, and advised I was paying the full amount and covering the 4% credit card fee totaling $507.87. Trusting the conversation ******* and I had on October 10th about the financial capabilities and limitations around our wedding I never thought to go back and question what we had very clearly discussed. On January 5, 7 days before the wedding she asked for an invoice payment. She refused to render services or process refund.
