This valet company is the only option to park at ******************. The podium has a sign:Valet $10. When I gave her my credit card (on August 19, 2024), she said it was $11.29. I asked her for the sign where it states that there is a fee to use a credit card, and there is none (I have pictures). I told her she could not penalize me for using a credit card without written notice or any notice prior to arriving at the valet area. I only had one option, since I do not carry cash, and that is to pay an additional $1.29 - penalizing me for using a credit card, which violates a merchant agreement and is not abiding by the rules to surcharge. Additionally they use the restaurant name for their receipt, which is not correct. They are not associated with the restaurant. They proceed to send an email receipt as the restaurant and a response to the complaint as follows:"I am sorry you feel that way. We are a small business and we try to keep our prices as low as possible. We hope you enjoyed your meal and we hope to see you again soon."This appears to come from the restaurant, when in fact it is the Valet Company and this affects the restaurant itself.

I am rejecting this response because: it is simply not true.  The receipt, as submitted, does not have the name of the Valet Company.  Additionally, there is no tax since had I paid cash, it would have been $10.  And so the business owner is penalizing customers who use a credit card.  Additionally, as the business, you need to post that there is a cash price AND a credit card prices, and this is not posted.  So, I do not agree with the response - it is quite unacceptable and attached is the response from his receipt - posting as the restaurant.

    Sincerely,
