      Hello,Back in February of 2024 I purchased a diesel truck from Sunshine Stepvans to pursue my goal on operating a food truck business. Before the purchase, I was ensured that the truck was fleet maintained which are typically in excellent condition. I was also ensured that all trucks are inspected, by Sunshine Stepvans, for both mechanical and electrical issues, presale. Knowing all this I purchased the truck for $18,050, which included a $2,550 transportation cost. The truck was transported to my food truck builders in ******, **. For a period of 3-4 months the truck was being converted into a food truck. Once the truck was finished, it was driven down the street for graphics and design. It was here when the trucks engine seized up and turned itself off. The truck was turned on and barely driven for less than a mile when the catastrophic problems begin. The truck was then transported to *****, where a diesel specialist was able to give an official diagnosis. Here is what he had to say; "The unit had multiple codes for high crankcase pressure at the most severe level. Spec is less than 8 INHG without a load. The unit without a load in the parking lot was peaking at 20 INHG. The units pressure had gotten so high previously that it blew out all the gaskets on the engine causing massive oil leaks. The unit most likely has a cracked piston or possibly broken piston ring causing the high crankcase pressure. The unit will need to have the long block replaced as well as switch to a new type of coolant and replace all motor mounts." The mechanic notified me that these types of problems do not and should not go unnoticed as it can have catastrophic results. Please understand that I purchased the truck to pursue my goal on operating a food truck business. I have personally not yet driven the truck and the estimated cost of fixing the unit is over $30,000. More than twice I paid for the truck. I have asked the owners to provide assistance but have not been successful.
