This is a summary of my experience with The Villages Residential Construction, with **** ******** as the builder. I have reached out regarding numerous serious issues with our brand-new home and was told I would need to coordinate all repairs directly with their vendors.I am extremely frustrated by the condition of this newly constructed home. Instead of receiving a home in turnkey condition, weve been left with multiple unresolved problemsfar beyond cosmetic concernsthat reflect a lack of oversight and poor quality *********** kitchen cabinet was improperly installed and began pulling away from the wall because the installer failed to use proper shims. The cabinet vendor confirmed the mistake and spent significant time making repairs. The garbage pull-out is unstable, and a cabinet door has a visible crack. That same vendor spent nearly two hours performing touch-**** highlighting how much had been overlooked.Even worse, we had an infestation of phorid fliesthousands of themfound beneath the dishwasher, inside the refrigerator, and flying throughout the house. This is entirely unacceptable in a new home. The kitchen peninsula wall has a visible bulge caused by a drain pipe set too far forward. It was poorly concealed with spackle, but the flaw remains. If I wouldnt accept a new car with a dent, I certainly shouldnt be expected to accept a new home with one in the wall. The LVP trim by the sliding door is raised nearly of an inch and detached from the floor. No paint or spackle touch-*** were done before our walkthrough, and the project manager admitted no punch list had been completedonly to backtrack once we raised concerns.Lastly, I want to emphasize that I was misled into signing a document on a tablet with no clear explanation. Only after receiving the email copy did I realize I had unknowingly agreed the home was delivered in acceptable conditionshifting responsibility to me. Had I known, I never would have signed.
