The United States Farrier Association was established to bridge the gap between farriers and horse owners, promoting collaboration and understanding between both sides of hoof care. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to offering educational opportunities for farriers and horse owners alike, always with the well-being of the horse at the forefront. In response to the growing DIY hoof care trend—driven by rising costs and a shortage of professional farriers—we aim to provide inspiration, education, and ongoing support to both experienced farriers and hands-on horse owners.
What began as a young boy’s dream at the age of 12 evolved into a remarkable journey—becoming the youngest graduate of the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School under the mentorship of world-renowned Master Farrier Reggie Kester. That dream grew into a career spanning three states, numerous certifications from the AFA and BWFA, competition experience, teaching roles at horseshoeing schools, mentoring apprentices, and caring for thousands of hooves. True mastery lies in sharing knowledge and watching others grow—and it’s from that passion that the United States Farrier Association was born.
Our Board is composed of industry experts who collectively bring more than 60 years of hands-on experience to the table. We’re especially proud to be a veteran-run organization, with board members who have served and continue to serve our country.
