I made a reservation at this location for July 23rd but had to cancel the reservation on July 10th which exceeds there 72 hour cancellation policy so when I called the manager said we don’t refund customers money we only give out vouchers she said who took my reservation should have told me that and it should have been in the email confirmation of my up coming visit they never emailed me a confirmation and the girl never said they don’t refund customers money I would have never booked this knowing I could not receive my $600 back this seems to be a scam of this company I don’t want a voucher because I would never ever consider going there again please help us get our $600 returned I have also filed a complaint with the Florida attorney general’s office.

My family decided to take a week’s vacation to this RV resort (used my personal vacation time) for a terrible experience. First of all, this company charges a ridiculous fee of $35 to lock in your camp site or they can move it without your permission. I was told my spot was across from the pool and it wasn’t. Told the lady on the phone that we own a toy hauler and we were bringing our golf cart and she didn’t say a thing. Hauled our golf cart (over an 8 hour drive) and was told we couldn’t drive it at the camp ground even though it’s insured and street legal. The rules here are absolutely crazy. You can’t even have a good time without a worker being over your shoulder telling you that you can’t do something. Daughter kept having issues with a full grown boy hitting her with a ball in the Gaga ball pit and workers all stood around and watched him hit her while she’s in tears and they did nothing. All lifeguards are teenagers and they stand around and just flirt with the boys at the campground and they exchange numbers with them. Been camping over 13 years now and never hated a campground more than this one. To top it off, our charges are absolutely ridiculous on what we bought at the pool. On our final invoice, they charged us a Florida Sales Tax of 6%, some other sales tax of 6%, TWO city tax charges of 1% each, and a lodging tax of 5%! This is only on what we bought. This isn’t including the charges they charged us for our reservation already ($64.08). This place is a rip off and is out to just steal money from people. These charges can’t be legal! How can you charge someone 5 different tax rates just on stuff they purchased? Not to mention, their food was not even worth the money! $17.49 for an order of biscuits and gravy and a sausage biscuit! This place is outrageous. Extremely disappointed to say the least.

Hello. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. We apologize if you were not informed that outside golf carts are not allowed in the park, but we do post this rule on our website, our confirmation email, and our check-in packet to make sure guests are aware. We do not want to come across as rule heavy, but some things are out of our control such as no drinking in the pools being a state law. The taxes on your reservation statement are not just from your food order, that is for your entire booking. We are required to charge bed tax, state tax, and local tax.

I am rejecting this response because:

Still no explanation why I was charged taxes 5 times and no offer to reimburse me the extra tax fees I was charged. Not only that, I do not believe that it is a state requirement to charge all those fees as those have never been charged at all the other Florida campgrounds we camp at. Also, the rules were not listed in a confirmation email, only a website link that was not clicked on because they could have told me when I told them I was bringing my golf cart that it wasn’t allowed. Instead, we hauled it on over an 8 hour trip and then was told we couldn’t use it. They wanted us to pay their astronomical fee of $110 a day for a golf cart. This was not about a “no drink” rule in the pool either. There were many other dumb rules too like you have to be in a tube in the lazy river when there’s a million other people in tubes and you can’t even move because of how crowded it is. Never in my life have I camped at a place like this. I will warn others if this is not corrected.

    Sincerely,

    Melissa *****
