    We had a contractor for a remodel/addition to our home. Process all started Dec27,2023. He began the work on June 5 without a contract. we found out and decided to not proceed because of this. And, because when we asked him about this he lost his temper. We gave him a check for $11,434 for permit and his fees on June 26, 2024. The check was cashed and no permit and no further work on the project has been done. After he was told we no longer wanted to continue he went and filed for a permit without our permission. He submitted application for permit July 22, 2024 he and his office manager were told not to do so. He has lied, he has lost his temper and now is not answering any texts and not calling back.He was paid also $6,000 for the work in the garage on June 1 - a contract for that work was done and signed. The contract for the entire project was never signed by us. We wanted to cut cost on a few things so he was agreeable to us working on a few things, such as the demolition. He informed us to go ahead and start pulling out floors and cabinets- we did and now the house is a disaster. When he stated the work, somehow our A/C went out at the same time (possibly coincidentally but not sure). No A/C in ******* so we obviously cant live there and have had to stay elsewhere. We want only what is owed back to us and for this to not happen with others- this man is completely unprofessional!

    Hello- I received a reply from the contractor, a response that we are not happy with and proceeding with a lawyer.
