      February 2025 we hired College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving to package art and collectibles to be moved via *** from ******* to ***********. We provided photos in advance so that they would see the fragile nature of the items: Lladros, porcelain figurines, crystal glasses, mirrors, etc. They were fully aware of what they would be packaging. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. We hired them to pack our parents very fragile art and collectibles in order to ship them north. The packers ran out of packing supplies, overpacked the boxes and the 13 boxes of fragile vintage art and glassware arrived with extensive damage to the items upon arrival. Interestingly, the boxes themselves were not damaged but the contents were totally crushed under the weight of themselves and completely destroyed making it abundantly clear that what was packed inside the boxes was completely inappropriate. Most notably, the employees stacked dozens of fragile crystal glasses directly on top of an extremely delicate Capodimonte porcelain sculpture, without proper separation, padding, or structural support causing everything to crush! It is irrefutable that this negligent packing directly caused the total destruction of multiple irreplaceable items and cherished family heirlooms.The boxes themselves were overstuffed, underpadded, and poorly structured. The employees admitted to having run out of packing supplies and without question should have used better suited materials and more boxes. They also should not have overweighted the boxes.I have made multiple good faith efforts to contact **** directly to resolve this matter fairly and amicably. I provided a very detailed inventory of the items damaged along with a verifiable replacement value supported by numerous photos as evidence. He offered me a $39 for nearly $7500 worth of damage. Despite forwarding detailed photos and video evidence, he refused to respond to numerous emails, phone calls effectively ignoring this serious issue.
