On October 2023, I called Truly Nolen to cancel their lawn services. They asked the reason why, I explained I couldn't afford the $45 a month fee. I was told no problem, October is the last month you will get billed. I was really happy with their cancelation process So, I was really surprised when I got a $77 billed for the month of November. I called TN to find out why the $77 fee. I was told that is the cancelation fee for having the contract with them for less than a year. I was WHAT?? How is this right? No one ever mentioned a cancelation fee at the beginning of the contract or during the cancelation phone call. What kind of scam is this? Still waiting for the manager to call me back.Truly Nolen

The branch manager called the customer and explained that ******************** would be crediting back to her account, the $77.00 billing. She does not owe Truly Nolen any payment. The customer was pleased with this resolution.Review fromNancy D

1 starHad Truly Nolen for 3 years and was very good. The technician was Very thorough and pleasant. Then a different tech was sent the last two times absolutely horrible. All he would do was spray the outside of the house. When I asked about the tiny ants in the house some dead and some alive, his answer was, "I can't do anything about that". The ********* put little sticky things down and got rid of them. I showed the new tech a picture of one of the roaches I found in the house and he said he couldn't tell what kind it was and walked away. All he was interested in was spraying the outside and leave. 5 starsI moved to ******* from ******** eight months ago. Admittedly, the learning curve involving pest control was steep! My best advice based on my experience is to know the people you are working with and establish good communication as quickly as possible. My initial review of Truly ***** was very different from the one I am writing today. I was ready to leave the company based on issues too lengthy to go into here. Bottom line, I established communication with *****, the manager of the Lakeland Truly ***** office, and found him to be a person committed to doing his job as advertised. He gave me his work and personal phone numbers and, despite some rough patches, he stood by his word and did the job he said hed do. ******* is the pest control person who maintains my property and he is responsive to my concerns and takes pride in his work. Hes an excellent technician! In addition to that service, I purchased a rodent netting service. The original technician was irresponsible and the work he did was sloppy and incomplete. I found out months later that he had marked the job completed. When I brought this issue to ****** attention, things changed. ***** sent ***** to my home to do what I was originally promised. ***** reworked every inch of sloppy work done by the initial technician and went above and beyond to insure excellence! He did this with a positive attitude and provided work that exceeded my expectations. I also have ****** personal assurance that the job will maintain its excellence. As with ***** and *******, I am able to directly contact ***** if the need ever arises. KNOW who youre working with! Truly ***** has proven to me that they stand behind their promises with excellent employees. I have researched other pest control companies and found all of them to be vulnerable to poor workmanship from employees. *****, *****, and ******* stand behind their promises and Im going to stand behind them!Review fromEddie L

She explained everything in detail and was able to help me resolve my problem with no issues. The worse!! They rarely returned my calls. And would not come out until my contract was up for renewal. I have pictures of termite droppings raining down from an area that was supposedly treated worse customer service ever!! Less than one star would be better!Truly Nolen

This customer's account automatically canceled on 6-30-23 due to non-payment of renewal. Many attempts in March 2023, May 2023 and June 2023 were made to re-instate the customer's account prior to the auto-cancel. Customer was spoken to on 6-20-23 and she told the admin she would not be renewing because she was not happy with the service. Not until 07/27/2023 did we hear from her when she called to renew the service. She spoke with the admin on 07/28/2023 and customer had said that she was told by the inspector that the attic needed repair before being treated. She was informed at that time that she needed a new agreement and to pay the past due renewal fee.
I spoke with her myself on that day and explained the process to start her service back and the treatment that would be done if it were determined by inspection there needed to be a treatment. She did not call back to make an appointment for the inspection or to sign the new agreement. On 08/29/2023 Ms ***** called in to and this was the first mention of a request for service in February.
She said she didn't receive service she requested in February and she didn't want to sign a new agreement.
At her request I returned her call. She was trying to get me to have her attic sprayed for termites. She did not want to sign a new agreement and she did not want to pay the renewal. She told me at that time she called in and spoke with someone in February and we did not treat then but told her we treat when we do the Annual inspection. She spoke of having evidence of termites and she knows she can't pass inspection without a treatment. I again explained to her that her agreement with us has cancelled because she did not renew. I explained that we have to have a new agreement to treat her home. I explained that the only payment would be the past due renewal fee. She told me she would not be doing that and hung up on me. That is the last contact with customer until this morning, 8-31-23. I asked if she had reconsidered signing an agreement to restart the service and paying her renewal. I explained that I am trying to help her but that I need that agreement to be able to do so. She went in to length about how she is broke and can't afford to spend any money. She said she went to Las Vegas and lost her wallet and now has to spend hundreds for a new green card. She spoke of having to mark her home down to get it sold. She said she had an inspection for a competitor yesterday and she wants to see what they offer before considering signing a new agreement. She told she had an inspection for the sale of the home and was told with all the evidence of termite activity they would want to fume the home. She said she can't afford to spend more money on the home right now. I explained to her that if she signs the new agreement she will have a warranty that is transferrable to the new owner. As it stands now there is no active agreement. Customer said she will call after hearing from her inspection from yesterday. At this time, we await her phone call.
She tried to send photos of termite damage to me via email and I have not received them... She tried while I was on the phone with her and I still did not get the photos.Review fromJuan R

Inspected and found termites, have year maintenance agreement schedule service for July they did not show, rescheduled for today August 29 did nor show, called and was told that today was for an inspection not for treatment but nobody came today an inspection was done 2 months ago now they tell me treatment will be next monthTruly Nolen

The Area Manager contacted the customer regarding the negative review.....he spoke with ************************* ********* ******* is scheduled for tomorrow Sept 1, 2023 between 10am-12pm.
Customer complaint was due to a missed *************** from 8/15. When they called to reschedule, the call went to the ******************** where they scheduled the inspection instead of treatment for 8/29, which made the upset that they were told they had to wait till 9/7.
Customer Resolution:
I apologized for the misunderstanding that we initially schedule the inspection to ensure the proper treatment is performed. In this case we missed that an inspection was completed and treatment was needed. She understood and was thankful for my apology and attention to her concern. I assured and confirmed service for 9/1 10-12.

***** came to our home when we first moved in and had termites. He set us up on a yearly plan. He took excellent care and had those bugs taken care of for us. Recently my mom had termites and ***** got her set and tented. We recommended Truely Nolen to our neighbors and see the trucks at both each month. Truely Nolen is truely the best!!Truly Nolen

I contacted Truly Nolen in February for what I reported seemed to be evidence of termites. The inspector told me I had no termites. I purchased at that time, only an extermination service plan because they said no termites. Then in July, I reported that I saw further evidence of termites. When they came back out, the inspector reported yes, I did have them. Not only that, but apparently I had the "bad" ones (subterranean) and needed treatment asap. When I asked if it could wait 2 weeks while my family was on vacation, I was told no - it was that serious. I now also have wall damage to the very wall I pointed to in February when I first reported the issue. I also have had 6 months of exterminating services with NO improvement in the ***** problem. I do NOT recommend this company for any service. They completely missed the termites and now I have to get a GC to determine the damage and I have to pay for those repairs because they are not offering to assist at all. They only gave me a small discount on my termite treatment which I accepted only because I could not get another company to come out quickly for the emergency treatment I needed. I also now have to pay a different exterminator to do extensive fumigation for the ongoing ***** issue.Go elsewhere for your exterminator services.Truly Nolen

The Area Manager reviewed this customer's account as well as pictures and notes. It was determined that the inspection back in February did not reveal any termite damage or visible live activity due to the fact that the damage was beyond the scope of the inspection as it was behind the walls and not visible to the naked eye. It is unfortunate and we understand the frustration for the customer. We canceled the pest control account as per the customer's request, refunded $147 and waived the early cancellation fee on the account. On July 20, 2023 the customer was offered a free year of termite warranty, valued at $337. We have not heard back from the customer at this point.Review fromMilagros A
