In January I paid Rebecca Zung $6000 to get certified as a Coach in negotiating with high conflict individuals. Rebecca Zung is a YouTuber and #1 rated US attorney, but what she's charging $6000 for and calling her SLAY negotiation method, is available for free online from others lawyers as a mediation or negotiation course. I was desperate for help and a way to support myself, so I maxed out my credit cards after talking to *********************, a **** certified coach, who has since changed her number. I found inaccurate and potentially harmful information in the materials I received and when I attempted to alert her to this I was ignored. In contrast, prior to receiving money from me her assistant and ************** got back to me quickly and would reach out to follow up with me. We were required to attend live Zoom meetings with her, but I stopped going after the second one. She was guaranteeing people her method would work in court, which is entirely unethical for a lawyer to say in any context and she tells people she's doing "God's work" which reminded me to much of something a cult leader would say.

Hi BBB. **** became belligerent, inappropriate and threatened two members of the staff, other members of the program and even the principal of the program. She started posting inappropriate and threatening messages on our group page and was asked not to do so. However, **** remained defiant and escalated the situation further. I've attached some screenshots of her messages.

Pursuant to the terms and conditions, she was terminated from the program.  The program provides that she can be terminated for such behavior and that no refunds are given and access is revoked. All enrolees to the program are aware of these conditions. Please refer to this link for information on our terms and conditions: ********************************************************************

I purchased her SLAY Program and it has not provided me with the help I need, nor have they returned calls, emails, or texts. The program is to provide tools to help navigate relationships with narcissistic individuals, as well as assistance in understanding the divorce process from this personality type. It has provided me with neither. They give out an email address in order to reach out for assistance, however they never respond. I have attended two of their webinars which appear to be geared more toward recruitment. I have received electronic phone calls also geared toward recruitment. This program appears to be a pyramid scam.

This customer did not reach out to us right away. Had they reached out to us right away they wouldve received a refund. Secondly upon searching it was difficult to match up what is here as compared with what is in our system but we did find it and we were able to issue the refund. You can see that a refundy for the customers error in hitting the button twice which resulted in the double purchase - has been refunded.

The company does not refund my money back.

    Business Response

This customer purchased a digital course called SLAY Your Negotiation with a Narcissist.  Once purchased, the customer has full access to all of the videos as well as all of the bonus content that is available in the course.  Meaning it is not "dripped out" over time like some other courses are.  Thus it can all be downloaded immediately and then the customers can simply just get the portions they want and then ask for a refund, then in fairness to all, we ask that no refunds are given are given unless certain conditions are met.   Those conditions are very specifically stated on the website when people purchase (screenshots are attached).

Those conditions are also specified on the check out page (screenshot is attached).  That is that the customers must substantially complete all of the modules and the exercises required for this 4 hour course within 14 days of purchase and provide proof of same (we can see if they have watched the videos but they must provide documented proof that they have done the work) in order to get the refund.

This customer did not want to comply with the policy.  Simply just did not want to do that.  We have documented proof of her SEVERAL EMAILS with our customer service department.

In fact, we were even kind enough to extend her the courtesy of giving her additional time to complete the modules - which she REFUSED TO DO.

She simply just DID NOT WANT TO COMPLY WITH THE REFUND POLICY.

There is no issue with our service.  The issue is on the customer's end.   We have a disgruntled customer who was aware of what she purchased.  She has received ALL the benefits of the course.

Therefore because of all of the above, we do not believe that there was any issue with our service nor that she is entitled to any refund.

I am rejecting this response because:

I followed the response policy and requested to cancel. I watched all the videos and looked at the material provided within 24 hours (much shorter than the time period they requested) and asked to cancel my service. There is nothing ground breaking in the material they provided. I already used all of their strategies and came up with them on my own. I don't see any benefit for myself. I understand, as a part of abuse after effects, people exposed to long term abuse get high degree of anxiety, confusion and can't come up with a plan. Although this kind of material is pretty basic, victims may not come up with it their own. It is not the case for me. When I requested my money back, they insisted that I have to share the documents I created. I told them I will not share any of my personal information and the ask is unreasonable as it contains my personal information and information regarding my pending court cases (Divorce and Domestic Violance) and I refuse to put my personal information out to public to some person or company does not represent me but try to take advantage of victims of domestic violance.

All this made me realize and this company is a scam and uses weaknesses of domestic violance victims to make money charging $495 for "helping" to divorce a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. They diagnose individuals with no psychology education and give cookie cut recipes.

They can't force me to release my personal documents to prove that I tried to implement their strategies. These strategies, they listed are not their patented product. It is simply common sense that is put into a document.

Please pursue this company and don't let them take advantage of DV victims, charging hours of legal counsel fees for putting common sense as if it is something revolutionary. Many victims struggle to get help and explain what domestic violance is to court and legal professionals. If Rebecca Zung wants to help victims of Domestic Violance, she should help the women shelters, not collect money from women's retirement and child support and put them in financial stress.

    Very sad.

    Sincerely,
