    12/06/24- paid for a package to be packed and shipped through FedEx 12/12/24- contacted FedEx since the tracking hadn't updated, then called the store owner to let him know that my package hadn't moved. Owner filed a claim with FedEx, said he'd call me back. He didn't. 12/18/24- called store 3 times, no one answered , called FedEx again. Was told that when it was confirmed that the package was lost and a refund issued, the store owner would contact me. There was nothing I could do since I had not shipped the package myself. 12/19/24- FedEx issued electronic payment of $143.74 to store for the claim 12/31/24- payment cleared owner's bank 1/8/25- called FedEx about the claim because I could never get through to the store. was told the claim had been settled, the owner had elected to have the refund issued to himself directly. Tried to call store 3 times, owner finally answered. He told me that he had been out of town, had not been in the store, and had no knowledge of any payment issued to him. He said that he'd contact FedEx and call me back. He didn't. 1/15/25- called store 4 separate times with no answer, then finally called FedEx. Was advised that the only thing they could do was email the owner and tell him he needed to contact me. Several hours later, the owner called me back, asked for my mailing address and said “I am sending you a check in the mail” and hung up. 1/30/25- called the store as I have received no refund check in the mail. Spoke to (apparently) another employee who didn't identify himself. He told me that the owner is out of country until 2/22/25 and that he (the employee in store) didn't know anything about the situation and couldn't help me. I asked if the owner left any written record of transactions or refund so he could inquire if the check had been mailed. He said again he couldn't help me, but could call the owner on his cell phone and tell him to contact me. 2/3/25- still no refund or contact from owner
