Synopsis of most recent issue: June 25, 2024 promised a refund, to date, nothing received.Back ground of issue:August 31, 2023 was the original contact on this with great contact during the sales process. 9/1/2023 payment. This was to be for the October edition of a Little Black Book to be distributed one time to ****** by mail and ***** by email and then for six months following, new residents to the area would receive the publication in a weekly mailing (based on criteria being met). We were to get 20 copies and we would also appear in four online publications for three months. There was a delay and it was going to be distributed in November instead.January 2024 with no update, I reached out for an update and was given an apology and told that it was looking like March and the online ad was running in one of the magazines. At that time I was given an option for refund and we decided to give them one last chance to run it.May of 2024 and we received an advertisement to purchase through them again. I sent another email on 5/9/2024 about lack of communication and updates. A week later I received a response that the other person was no longer with them, she would get an update on the progress, etc, etc. As of June 25, 2024 I had heard nothing so I emailed again and said I wanted a prompt refund. She responded that she notified accounting that very day for a full refund.August 16, 2024 received an email from the new accountant with an apology for the delay. It is in the August queue of payables and we will be receiving a bank money order. I was asked to confirm the Payee and the mailing info, which I replied (within the hour) with one changeno response, OR CHECK, since.I emailed on October 1, 2024 as I heard nothing, telling them I was filing the BBB complaint. That evening rec'd reply that there was an "internal change" delay, I'd have an express mail the next week (& an email image conf).October 17, 2024...nothing to date.Initial Complaint

I was to give a physician seminar in ********** on 2/14/23. The event was moved to 3/14/23 because of low demand for the first date. *** told me there was "much stronger interest in the later date." Two days before the event I called them because I had heard nothing regarding the seminar. I received an email from someone named ***** that I would receive full reimbursement because the event was no longer being held. I also had to reschedule a trip by a day to make the later seminar. I incurred over $500 in additional expenses to move that trip by a day. I received a call from someone claiming to be RJ that they would not only reimburse me for the seminar cost but also reimburse me for the $500 for the trip rescheduling. In addition to this they let me know that the next physician seminar in ********** I would have first right of refusal for a free speaking engagement at the event. I have sent numerous emails and was getting responses for a while and now they are no longer responding to their emails. What is even more frustrating is they have the audacity to send me and my business partners marketing for future seminars in the ********** area. I have tried in vain to at least talk to someone regarding another speaking engagement. The money is long gone by this point and this company is nothing but a bunch of crooks. I have told everyone at my company never to use them as well as other financial advisors I know in the ********** area. RJW is literally the scum of the earth and I hope that their actions catch up with them.Business Response

On May 11, 2022 we paid RJW Creative Development Works $1,797 with the promise of five physician dinners. Each time the date of the dinner approached they would cancel the dinner saying it was due to covid. We asked for a refund for the dinners that were cancelled. ***** then sent an email on 01/10/2023 stating she made a mistake when putting in for our refund and cancelled our registration for all of our dinner events and said we would be receiving a refund for our full registration fees. I asked her to call us on 01/10/2023 with no response. I reached out to her on 02/15/2023 letting them know we never received a refund. ***** replied saying she would have the accounting department reach out. On 02/16/2023 ******* ******* said she scheduled our refund of $1,797 and that it would be sent out with their February payments and confirmed the information to where the check should be sent. On 03/01/2023 I followed up with ******* to which she stated our payment was processing that week and the check would be on the way in the next few days. She said she would include a tracking number. I have followed up on 03/10/2023 and 03/14/2023 and have not heard anything more from ******* *******.Initial Complaint

This organization agreed to set up meetings with Health Care providers on our behalf. They charged a fee of $750 and said that if they are not able to set up 6 meetings within 9 months of the contract date, they would provide a full refund. When nine months passed with no meetings, I contacted them and they agreed to refund my payment. That was in August of 2022, and I still have not received my refund. They claimed that their accounting team would process it and I would receive a check shortly. It is now February of 2023 and they do not respond to emails or phone calls. I just want them to do what they agreed to by contract.
