just now New I hired this company for a wiring and detailing job on my boat with the understanding that the wiring would be made water proof, cleaned and tighten up by mounting. Instead, they simply smeared some grease on existing connections in the battery box and called it a day.I paid to have 4 lights installed but only got three mounted. The light installation was sloppy mounted crooked and poorly placed under the seat back. Even worse, the anchor light and horn, both of which worked before, now no longer function. As for the detailing, the aluminum ladder and the motor cover werent polished at all, despite that being part of the job. After four days of excuses about bad parts and empty apologies for the poor workmanship, I finally had to ask the owner to leave without completing the job due to workmen ship.

We appreciate you taking your time to share your feedback.  We understand that you are disappointed with your experience. We did come back when you said the horn wasn't working and we wanted to make everything right and In working order I did ask that you buy a new horn and you refused and said it was the connection and told me to leave. The connections were made water proof on all the new equipment that was installed including the negative and positive blocks and a new ground wire to all the new switches and breakers that were also installed. And then all connections were Marine greased. We have all the pictures. Also a new radio was installed and new bilge pump and switch panel.. ********* cover was compounded and waxed but it is definitely sun beaten. The ladder yes it was missed and we tried to come fix the problem he knew we were on the way and when he arrived he was already polishing it himself.

Got a quote to paint my boat for 1300, and agreed to proceed. When the boat was finished, i noticed alot of paint dripping due to poor workmanship. Brought to the attention of ******** at All About Boats and ***** detailing, and I am being told that to fix the paint, I will need to pay an extra 500 dollars. Per the original quote, no where it states that I would have to pay extra for poor workmanship and to fix the businesses mistakes. I have tried to get this resolved directly with the business, but the business has no intention to correct their mistake. At this point I just want them to return the 1300 that was paid so I can go to a different business to get the paint corrected.

This response was taken verbally by BBB:

This customer wanted his boat painted and I gave him a quote of $1300. He agreed, the work was done and he paid. He then called afterward to say there were some runs but I explained to him that to have a flawless job done he can bring it back but it will be $500 more. He felt it should be included in the original quote but that is not what we agreed on.

I am rejecting this response because:

I tried to respond to the case on the website, but message got sent prior to me finishing up the message and adding supporting documents. Per the original quote, it would have cost me 1200 plus material. If there was body work that needed to be done, then it would be extra. When paint drips, its because of poor workmanship, not a pre existing defect that needed to be addressed prior to painting. Why would anyone knowing agree to pay someone to paint something and if the job is not done correctly in the first place pay that same business a second time to fix the problem caused by the business. I have attached screenshots of all messages between myself and the business showing what the quote was and showing that no-were in the quote did he mention that it would cost extra if there was paint runs due to poor workmanship.

    Sincerely,
