BBB files indicate that Gunn Marketing Group, Inc. has a
pattern of complaints and reviews concerning sales practice issues. Customers allege
they have attended seminars for vacation packages in exchange for travel certificates.
After paying an activation deposit, customers allege they do not hear back from
the business.
In November 2024,
BBB sent a request to the business to address this pattern and what actions the
business has taken to help eliminate the causes of complaints. The business has responded with the following:
"Gunn Marketing Group is a wholesale incentive company that develops incentives for our clients to use in their sales and marketing efforts. We have well over 250,000 of our incentives distributed every year, and are very proud of our minimal complaints. We have always made customer service and compliance our number one priority.
There are hundreds of distributors that actually give the incentives directly to the consumers. Unfortunately, we cannot be there to monitor these people to make sure that they are properly representing our products and disclosing the terms and conditions.
The consumers do not read the terms and conditions prior to
activating them and attempting to use them and then get upset when we cannot
break the rules for them.
The consumers have an issue with the company that gave them the incentive and because they received one of our incentives with our name on it they file a complaint against us as well.
We have a "Contact Us" button on our website where the consumers can send an email with any questions and/or concerns. That email is monitored all throughout the day and emails are answered immediately during regular business hours. We also have live people answering the phones during normal business hours to talk to the consumers."
