  This company is unfortunately wildly unprofessional with their dealing with their customers. I am a roofing contractor local to ********** and ********** *******. Gulf advertised with us that we could provide measurements to them and they would quote the material amount to us based off of those measurements. We agreed to this, and sent measurements, and they quoted us an amount. We used this amount to quote a job to our customer, which we won.Unfortunately, gulf miscalculated and ended up extremely short on material. We had to order more metal, and provide tarps over the home-owner's house while we waited for them to get new materials on the job site. They not only charged me for the additional materials, but they also charged for the delivery, plus a fuel fee on top of the delivery fee. When I complained, they stated they would give us a discount on the next job. I recognize things happen, so I let it go and we decided to give them another shot.Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. They quoted materials, they came up short (and to add insult to injury, they didn't even include the promised discount on the job!). They charged me again. This time, I refused to pay the difference. They gave me the same empty promise about a discount for future work, and I told them I needed to see some level of ownership on their part for their failure to hold up their end of the agreement. Unfortunately, rather than work this out or find a place to meet in the middle, they placed a lien on my customer's home. They dragged my customer into a dispute between the two of us about the validity of charging me for their failure.I am wildly disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism. While the action certainly got my attention, it speaks to a deeper lack of care about their customer satisfaction and willingness to honor their promises.I strongly advise any roofer or contractor to pursue other options for metal suppliers.

  Buyer Beware. These people are so unethical. We were doing a large amount of business with them from approximately May 2023 to Sept 2023 only to find out later that they do not honor their warranties and their **** off is that they are not responsible for their warranties. They provide no type of "buyers guide" when purchasing from them that discloses (by-law) that the products you purchase from them come with no warranty. Check out their ****** reviews for yourselves these people are liars. The way they reply to your complaints online is very unprofessional as they then tell you they "don't want to business with a contractor that left a bd review". Absolute shame that they choose to handle their business. Corporate, if you would like to resolve this give me a call or email me back because the people like ***** and ***** are only running your operation and reputation into the ground.

  Our warranty clearly states that a steel project must be at least ***** feet from salt or brackish water to be eligible. At no point did any Gulf Coast employee state otherwise or promise a warranty. Your team did not inquire about a warranty at any time. This warranty (*********************************************************************************************************************************) and all of our warranties are linked in several places on our website. You may view all of our warranties here: *****************************************************************************************, we have signed quotes from your team member, *********************, which includes the disclaimer, There is no warranty for steel panels installed within **** from salt/brackish water or within **** of breaking surf. ***** signature confirms she agreed to the disclaimer. Additionally, your team member **** stated in her email to us, It is not my job to ensure that the jobs we purchase through you guys can be warranted. However, it is in fact the contractors job to review whether a project can be warrantied as Gulf Coast does not know the specifics of the project sold to the homeowner; some homeowners choose to proceed with steel within ***** feet knowing the project will not be eligible for warranty.
