Scam! My service tech was **** ******** and the mechanic was Kona ******. I have tried to work with Matthews ****** but I just cant on board their rude and unprofessional staff. I came in for a oil change and have my side view mirror fixed. The service staff *** said the system doesn't relay any mirror issues and would have to make a separate appointment....which I did but due to a software problem they don't get those notes. I even made a appointment with the repair shop not the quick lube. I took a morning off and now they want me to make another appointment?I said to just due the Oil change and rotate tires. When completed they said I needed a 30K service with would be over $700. I asked what about the mirror? They said they were not going to fix the mirror and had to make a different appointment. I turned down the 30K service because I can't see myself missing a service recommendation at 30K. I went home and found my service receipt from August 12 and it was from Matthews ******. I did in fact already have the 30K service done. Bottom line they tried to upcharge me on a service I already had done at their own shop. When I called and confronted them they said, "Oh we just overlooked that" "How many times should we say sorry". They are shady and I will never go back to this dealership. My service tech was **** ******** and the mechanic was Kona ******.

The pre delivery fees are ridiculous, $3000 in fees, they didn't go over them with me. I wanted to take the car back because of the fees, I texted them the same night but they refused to let me bring it back. They were very impersonal, hardly looked me in the eye. They offered me $3000 for my vehicle, they said it was involved in an accident and they couldn't sell it, they said it would have to be auctioned (they didn't bother to mention that the vehicle I bought was involved in an accident and had undercarriage damage). When I said no to the $3000, the salesperson said nothing to me, he just got up and walked away, he did that a few times. He hardly spoke to me. He came back with $4000, I again said no, when he came back with $5000, I agreed. Had I known about the fees I wouldn't have agreed, the guy who handled the paperwork signing, didn't mention the fees to me. I was told those fees are not charged by everyone. I was naive and stupid, I was focused on the interest rate, monthly payment and what I would get for my vehicle. I asked the salesperson what the interest rate was, he didn't know, he said the paperwork guy would go over that with me. I had to ask him what it was, he said 7%, actually it is 7.88%. The vehicle I bought was around $29866. My paperwork shows the price as $31700, not sure why fees change the actual price of a vehicle. Pre-delivery fees are ridiculous, just a way to take advantage of customers. They didn't even pull the factory door code number, I had to go back there so they could pull it. Loan processing fee? Isn't that part of their job? Electronic registration filing fee $249? I had just renewed the plate on my car, for two years, it was $159. Don't be an idiot like I was, go somewhere else or refuse to pay the fees.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to ******************************* concerns. Matthews Currie **** strives to provide excellent experience for our clients. However, we do disclose all the fees on our website. Your sale price went from $29,866 to $31,700 due to the purchase of the **** Gold certified pre-owned extended warranty. Which extends your powertrain warranty from ****** miles to ******* miles, protecting your vehicle for an extra ****** miles beyond the standard factory warranty. In reference to your trade, there was an airbag deployment indication on ****** which is why we would not be able to retail. As you indicated about your trade, we helped you by being able to meet the value for your trade that you were hoping to get by offering you the $5000.

This vehicle was listed on the website for $29,866 and it said a warranty was included. There was never mention of a warranty cost. I was told the car came with a warranty. Nobody at any point during the time I was there said anything about a warranty being an extra cost. Never! There was never an air bag deployment of my car, if Carfax showed that, it was wrong. I was rear ended at a stop sign. The car was fixed so why is that a big deal anyway? The Explorer I bought has been in an accident and had undercarriage damage, much more problematic. Stop trying to justify your fraudulent ways.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. We bought a car on February 3,2024 from the tent sale in Largo FL. We still do not have a permanent license plate and we were told they would fix the wrinkles in the window tinting on 2 windows and get the second set of keys. They told us to get the windows fixed and get new key fob from a dealership near us. They would reimburse us. We are getting no response of sending copy's of the bills. And getting reimbursed. They won't even return our calls.

Be aware. If you want to pay cash for your purchase, they charge a $1000 fee. They want you to take out a car loan which avoids the fee. The interest rate on the loan is over 10%. They say the loan can be payed off after 3 installments, but it is still a situation where someone wanting to pay cash is being directed to take out a loan. Having to pay $1000 if you want to pay cash is ridiculous.

I ordered a brand new **** Lightning online through ****'s web site and I picked Matthews-Currie **** as the dealership that would sell me the truck and get the commission. That was a mistake and I wish I'd ordered it from a different dealership. The dealership wasted 5 and a half hours of my time so far and when I wrote them an honest review of the experience the sales rep called me and yelled at me about the review. My brand new truck was delivered to me with over 100 miles on the odometer. Someone took it joy riding, there's no excuse for a brand new truck to have that many miles.I have a very minor issue with the truck that needs to be fixed under warranty. I called the service department and asked them to fix it here at my house instead of me coming in because I don't want to see the sales rep who yelled at me ever again. They haven't said yes yet and it's been over 24 hours. On top of that the dealership didn't do a good job preparing the truck for delivery. I have photos of "strings" of plastic that should have been removed by the dealership. I'm dreading what other things they missed or did wrong that I'm going to find. Hopefully only cosmetic things like this and nothing serious. When I spent almost $65,000 with a company pre-tax, including a $1,000 price gouging "doc fee", I expect great service. Not what I've received.

Over the course of many years, I have purchases several new vehicles from Matthews Currie **** and over those same years had them serviced there as well.Took my vehicle in recently for an oil change and upon completion of the work I was informed that my rear brakes needed to be replaced along with the rotors and the total cost would be over $650. I knew they needed replacement as I had front brakes done several months prior and was informed the rears would need it within 6 months. I told them I I would call for an appointment next week. I called a few reputable places just to get a price comparison and was told to come in for a free brake inspection which i did. I was shocked to find that both places told me that my rotors didn't need to be replaced and just needed to be turned and new brake pads for a total cost of $159. plus tax. This seems to be a common practice of ******* Currie **** to lie and tell you that your rotors need replacement in order to pad the bill. I also paid them for new rotors when I had the Front brakes done and am now questioning whether I needed them or not (probably not). Had I not gotten other price quotes from other reputable Companies, ******* Currie would have cost me $500. more. Because I can not trust this dealership any longer, ******* Currie has just lost my service and new vehicle purchases forever. As the saying goes," ***** me once shame on me, ***** me twice shame on you!!!!!

I recently travelled 2 hrs to get to Mathews Currie Ford intending to purchase a new Explorer. Before I drove to this location I called to make sure that they had the vehicle i was looking for ( they had both a 2022 and 2023) . They confirmed they were still on the lot and I also confirmed that the 2022 was not on a recall hold due to a rear camera issue and I was assured that the vehicle was NOT on this hold, Upon arrival and looking at both vehicles we liked the 2023 better. After being presented with the offer to purchase contract we were told we could not purchase the vehicle and that it had to go thru a transmission inspection per Ford . On to the second choice, We were then told that the 2022 could not be sold either because it was indeed on a recall hold due to the rear camera issue. Even after asking all the right questions before making the trip it appears that we were lied to and now are faced with a 2 hr return trip. A complete waist of more than 5 hrs Now we know why the car buying process has such a bad reputation and don't believe everything you are told
