Date: 10/27/22 (day prior to hurricane ***)1. Quoted at time of contract on 11/3/2021 (witness: ***** ****, fiance) and on 11/27/22 by phone, the installation of hurricane shutter would be $60/single window and door. Invoices received were higher. Recieved two invoices (both #****) by email with same due date of 11/4/22 from Good Hands Property Watch (GHPW). An invoice sent on 10/17/22 for $1095.00 and on 10/19/22 for $1173.31. Services for hanging shutters was increased from $750 to $675 with no explanation. Incorrect charge for 10 windows/doors applied, should be 9 in total. Based on the quoted price ($60/window/door) to install shutters, should be $540.00 (9 x $60) for Services. 2. Removal of the window shutters took the worker 45 minutes to complete. This was verified by my security system since the garage door was opened, then closed 45 minutes later. A $335 charge for less than an hour of work I felt was unreasonable and one might call it price gouging. The governnor had stated that the State will investigate claims of price gouging. I informed GHPW that I would pay for half $170 which I feel is reasonable based *************************************************************************************** garage. Also, the front door base plate for the door ******* was not removed. This was be removed by me. 3. An additional Bank Transfer Fee on Intuit website was passed to clients for timely GHPW payment to contractors. I would not agree to add my personal banking information on this website. I agreed to mail the check directly to GHPW minus $33.31 bank transfer fee. Overall, I felt a fair and reasonable price should be applied as follows: Hanging Shutters (8 windows & 1 door) = $540.00 (9 x $60/window); Removal of windows: $170.00 (for 45 minutes of work), half of the $335 billed; Trip Charge: after storm check: $55.00; A $100 payment for Invoice #**** 9/8/22 was included. Grand Total: $865.00. To date GHPW consulted Legal and not cashed check.
