On Saturday June 3, 2023 we went to Tiger Tint Now in **********, ** and had our vehicle, 2017 Dodge RT, windows tinted including the windshield. Car was dropped off at 9am, and picked up about 5pm. Upon getting into the vehicle to back the car out of the shop garage, we saw the dashboard lights blinking/flickering, car was barely able to drive, it completely failed just off to the side of the parking lot exit. At this point the vehicle would not start. We called the owner ***** to let him know what happened, he walked right over. We suggested maybe the car battery had died, we went to store to purchase and install new battery, which did not resolve the issue, the car still would not start. At this point hours had passed, eventually we called a tow service who brought the vehicle to our house. The car then had to be towed to a mechanic for further diagnosis. The repair shop informed us that there was water underneath all the components in the dashboard, which caused the main computer chip to take in water, ultimately damaging it. The car sat there waiting for the part to arrive before being repaired. We inquired cost of a battery replacement, towing company, a new computer chip replacement, as well as rental car fees for two weeks. We were in contact with ***** throughout the process, he assured us that he would work with us and provide a refund on the job, which totaled $561. We agreed to that and said we would let him know the total repair cost. We did let ***** know we would settle on $1000, which he stated he would work with us, but then refused after we reached out today, 7/21/23. The total cost of repairs is over the $1000, and more close to $3000. We are seeking compensation now for the total loss. We have receipts that can be sent in later on, do not have now to attach below.
