 ***** / *****
In response to your email today I am hoping you will focus on the issues I have shared with both of you in many photos and in writing.
I see your attempts to distance Mark Kaufman Roofing from responsibilities of the health issues and home damage. However a direct result of hiring Mark Kaufman Roofing has lead to the following home and stress damage to me and my wife.
Here is your list of failures.
 1. 4 times we have had your team out to repair leaking roof. As of this date the leaks are in more areas and more severe.
 2. Ceiling damage in 4 different rooms and at least 3 distinct leaks
 3. Black mold and possible mold problem in new leaking area discovered 9/1/2024 that now have mildew smell.
 4. French door and wood floor damage .
I would love to see why you think these failures have occurred and what rating or stars you feel you deserve.

As I previously shared with you other failures on this job and the video and documents.
 1. Broken driveway , a direct result of Ronins failure to place plywood on the area of the driveway where the dumpster truck was driving.
You ***** claim there was prior cracks but that minor crack was on the other side of the U shaped driveway. Due to driveway standards for our development, I had to pay $21,000.00 for a new driveway.
 2. Contract item to replace  rotten fascia boards.  After I made final payment, many boards with obvious holes required follow up repairs.( I still have photos )
 3. Many soffits not reinstalled properly and with the first slight wind were found in my neighbors yards.
4.gutters that were partially removed and not screwed back in.
 5. Gutter guards removed and not reinstalled.
 6. Large pieces of tile and dry concrete in the gutters and blocking downspouts.
The key question to why we had such a poor performance then and now is another question I would like you to answer.

I have already told you what added to these ongoing issues.
 1. Very little on site supervision, saw ***** driving the dumpster truck but missing most of the time.
 2. No final completion inspection , this added to all the nails, broken tile and debris remaining on site.
 3. You install team arriving late in afternoon 4 to 4:30 looking exhausted and then working till dark around 8:00 PM. No Ronin on the late shift. I felt bad for these guys and passed out a $20.00 bill to each of the 4 guys one evening.
You have never commented on the detail interaction I had with ***** regarding the Chimney and my request in the beginning of this project.

As I have stated we have never had any signs of Chimney problem prior to your engagement, during the roofing and not until the third repair attempt.( 1st 5/2023 , 2nd 8/2023, third 12/2023 )was any mention or suggestion that our chimney had an issue. This is alarming considering I was asking your on site manger about the Chimney back in March 2023.

I think it is ironic that on your advertising website (see attached photo )you claim Chimney repairs as one of your services.
However on the December attempt to fix Family Room Roof leak ( 3rd attempt), your staff member said the chimney vent was broken and he placed a patch over it. How the vent was broken is an open issue, only your team working around the Chimney.
I guess since your company  are Chimney repair experts, I wonder why any potential crack would not been caulked. Then a follow up email to me or phone call to suggest a contributing factor and potential cure to the roof leaks would be re stucco the Chimney or other remediation.
I am concerned and doubtful on your attempt to blame all the Family Room damage on the Chimney. You told me your team  opened up a hole in the ******* to look inside on the 4th repair visit on 8/26/24.
I was not aware of this, nor did I give any permission to open a hole in the Chimney. I do recall your team running a hose around the Chimney as they were also removing some Tile. How do we know water may have soaked the inside of this Chimney resulting in your photos. Once again you are Chimney repair people, after all our suffering of 2 senior citizens , one would think you may have taken corrective action.

Where we stand now is clear.
We are holding **** Kaufman accountable for proper repairs
Of all items related to your marginal performance.
I am not available on Thursday and insist on being here when attempt number 5 is done.
Hopefully one or both of you can come to observe the newest leaks since your last visit. Please check your schedule and let me know if Tuesday or Wednesday will work for you. I am sure we agree any inside repairs should come after leaks corrected.
