      When my DUI Class was beginning on September 10, we are each required to walk to the front of the classroom and perform a breathalyzer test with the instructor. I am one of the first ****** to perform this activity because I have lung problems. A female student went before me, and asked the instructor if she needed her Florida identification card, and he said "no, just your first name". I walked up to the table where the instructor sat after she passed her breathalyzer and calmly said "first name is ****". The instructor decided to make an abusive example of me and said "He is the quiet type. And one of these days he is going to pick up an axe and murder everybody". The entire class laughed loudly including the instructor. I felt embarrassed, hurt and I calmly responded a defensive remark paraphrased, such as "I don't think I am that kind of person." Shortly after class began, he put me on the spot again during a memory practice exercise he was attempting to employ with the class. He looked straight at me and said, "What is your social security number". I responded, "I am not sharing that out loud". He used foul language throughout each class often, which I also did not appreciate. He made sexually charged jokes with students too. He complained about the Board of Directors possibly visiting our class and he seemed anxious, but displayed negative unprofessional behavior and commentary.

      Upon receipt of complaint, we spoke with the *** instructor.  All students are required to do a breath test at the beginning of each class session.  The statement referenced that the instructor allegedly said was taken out of context.  There was a discussion later in the class session that referenced the movie "The Shining" as part of the discussion about mental illness.  That statement was never made to the client and the class did not laugh at the client.  Later in the session there is a discussion about memory. Part of that exercise involves the instructor asking questions for some students in the class to answer to demonstrate memory.  One of the questions the instructor asks is about someone's social security number, since all persons usually have that memorized.  However, they are stopped if they start to say the number.  It is used strictly as a memory exercise and no one is allowed to disclose their number.  The instructor did not use foul language during class or make sexually charged jokes.  That charge is completely false.  He does let students know that there is a possibility of a board member or management stopping in to see the class, it does not make him anxious and the possibility of it occurring is very low.  Our instructor has been with us for many years and this is the first time we have had this type of complaint from anyone.  Due to the seriousness of these charges, we made sure to have another employee present when Mr. ******** had his evaluation, which is usually conducted one-on-one with the client.  In addition, student surveys for the class were reviewed and none of this was mentioned in any surveys.  Mr. ******** also did not contact management with any of his concerns.  If he should need services again, we will be sure to assign him a different instructor.  All of his complaints are completely unfounded.

      The response was uncaring and invalidating, and failed to accept accountability for what the instructor said. What I reported actually occurred. I do not wish to be contacted by the business any further.

      I recently was involved in a DUI that required me to get an interlock. I received a letter in the mail stating that my license would be suspended because of violations with ************* if I didn't schedule an appointment with DUi school within a certain time (before December 18th). I called *********** with no success. I went and scheduled appointment paid 55 dollars for the appointment with West Central Florida Improvement they gave me a number to contact *********** directly which I did and *********** dismissed violations. That released me from appearing for the appointment. West Central informed me they give no refunds.

      I spoke with client and reminded her she was offered a refund when she was here, she declined the refund and wanted to continue with the service.  She was informed at that time there would be no refunds and was adamant she wanted to continue.  She has been informed all refunds require a written request to management, she stated she would provide a request to management.  Once that communication is received we can proceed with a possible refund.
