    On April 17th, 2023 I was given an estimate to replace all of my duct work associated with an AC unit that was damaged and replaced by a tree that had fallen on my home. I agreed to the price and expected the work to be done as stated in the service contract. Contract is attached. Manual calculations were never performed and I was told that after making a full payment. After Thermosolutions stated the work was complete on the duct work I explained it was leaking, pieced together, and they had left trash from sodas and old duct work in my attic. I called another company for a second opinion because a technician told my husband the ductwork just needed additional sealing and dismissed his concerns. Owner, Alfredo came over a second time with his technicians to attempt to complete the job. After I had already fully paid they removed most of the trash leaving some still and added more mastic. They did not attempt to replace all of the duct work. Old duct work is still pieced together with the new in multiple rooms leaving me with a partial job. According to 2 other companies Thermosolutions used boxes that looked very old or used, incorrect tape and were very sloppy in their work. Both companies stated in order to repair the duct work they would have to remove or attempt to patch it because so much mastic was used it would be difficult to separate the duct work to ensure it was properly done. The opinions stated I may have further problems with patching it because it was not completed correctly the first time. In addition to being fraudulent and claiming to have replaced all of my duct work, they charged me an additional $200 to put 2 exhaust fan ducts through the side wall of my home which I did not request to be done by them. I am requesting the entire payment of $4625 to be returned in order to have the duct work replaced properly. I am also filing a complaint with the Department of Business and Business Regulation.

    Business Response

    Date: 05/26/2023

    Good morning,

    Mrs. **** ***** has been accusing me of being dishonest and deceiving,

    I have attached the answer to her letter complaining about a ductwork repair job we did at her home, where I encourage her to read carefully the estimate the she approved, where we state that the grills, boots and collars where the flex ductwork connects are going to be existing, I also mentioned  this to her when I explained the details of the project. There were some spots where  we missed some duct seal but I immediately told that we will correct the issue,  but she went ahead and contracted another HVAC company to inspect the job, This company told her that the installation of the unit and ductwork was improperly done My guess trying to get an opportunity to sell her some work.  Once she permitted us to go back to take care of the spots not sealed, she continues to say that the install was improperly done , The unit was inspected by County Inspector and passed and approved the install.  I have attached a copy of my answer letter and a copy of the county certificate of completion for your review...

    Respectfully;

    Alfredo D*******
