      I had my windshield replaced by Accurate Auto Glass LLC on 01/07/2021. They offered me a warranty to repair or replace my windshield if it is defective for as long as I own the car. One year after having my windshield replaced on 12/23/2022, I was driving and my windshield separated from my car. I called Accurate Auto Glass LLC at 5:12 PM and they said that they would have to find someone in New York to evaluate my car since I no longer live in Florida. I didn't hear back from them and called again on 01/03/2023 at 1:20 PM. They said that they couldn't find someone in New York to evaluate my car, and that they would refund me the amount that I paid ($256.58). Today is 06/13/2023 and I still have not received my refund.

      Per our phone calls we discussed this issue is not covered under warranty. The glass is not defective, it seperated from your car as you stated above. This happens occasionally when you live in Florida, the sun and heat bakes into the paint on your vehicle and may crack and break off, and we believe this is what happened in your case. I also stated that if you bring it to another glass shop to repair, then the warranty is voided which was signed by you. Again this is not a defective windshield it is more of a paint defect which has nothing to do with the windshield, but more so maybe a warranty issue with your paint.  Sorry I couldnt help more since you now live in New York.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Becky is not accurately describing our phone call conversations. Here is a timeline of events:

      01/02/2021: My windshield was replaced by Accurate Auto Glass LLC.

      02/22/2021: I moved to New York.

      12/23/2022: I was driving on Sunken Meadow State Parkway and my windshield popped out from my vehicle. I called Accurate Auto Glass LLC immediately at 5:12 PM. Per their warranty, it covers defects in installation. Since I moved to New York, Becky informed me that she would have to find a company approved by Accurate Auto Glass in New York to examine my vehicle.

      01/03/2023: After one week of waiting to hear back from Becky and not driving my car, I called Accurate Auto Glass again at 1:20 PM. Becky said that she could not find a company in New York and would refund me to my original form of payment. I took my car to Safelite and they said that the windshield was not installed properly on my car. They had no issue with removing the windshield since it wasn't even glued on. I had to pay Safelite $331.25 to repair Accurate Auto Glass' defective job. 

      I followed up with Becky one more time, as I had not received a refund to my credit card and she said she would mail me a check to my residence in New York.

      Becky is stating that the windshield separated from my car due to heat/defective paint on my car. I am disputing this claim because 1) I moved to New York one month after having the windshield installed by Accurate Auto Glass (cooler climate than Florida), 2) The windshield separated from my vehicle less than 2 years after I had it installed and there's supposed to be a warranty for as long as I own the vehicle, 3) I immediately called Accurate Auto Glass after the incident had happened and they could not offer me a company in New York to have it examined and repaired, 4) Safelite verified that the windshield was not properly installed and that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. There is nothing in Accurate Auto Glass' warranty about having to reside in Florida to have the windshield repaired or replaced. They compromised my safety while I was driving on a state highway and I had to pay another company to repair the shoddy work that Tony from Accurate Auto Glass did. I am asking Accurate Auto Glass to honor their statement that they would refund me the $256.58 that I paid them. To this day I have not received a check which they said they would mail me.
