Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinkler installed a commercial sprinkler system on my R-3 residential home at **** * ******* **** and my neighbor's, **** * ******* ****, R-3 home. WAFS installed the UDAC 411 outside my home. The UDAC 411 is not approved for outdoor use. Several emails stating it should be moved immediately from the manufacturer.
I spoke with Steve Z******** from WAFS a few weeks ago regarding the installment of the backflow. The original plans show my home was to have an individual backflow for my property. The individual backflow system was never installed. Instead, my system was attached to my neighbor's backflow at **** * *******.
This is causing problems because the backflow is not on my property. There are no plans attached to my master plan filed with the Town of Jupiter (ToJ) for a backflow at my home. Per ToJ and FBC (Florida Building Code), each R-3 home has its own meter for billing purposes. ToJ has acknowledged that I do not have the backflow on my property and I do not have a meter for the backflow. The president of Mallory Creek HOA stated that the infrastructure was not there to permit the system installed. Jim B**** from ToJ stated because **** has a commercial fire sprinkler it "does not mean all of those uses are permitted. For example, medical or dental clinics are not listed as a permitted zoning use."
The infrastructure is not there for this system. I cannot have a business in my home that is on the list from FBC or NFPA Occupancy Classification for Business. WAFS sent an email stating R-3 homes would only need a 13D sprinkler system. FBC states R-3 does not require a sprinkler system-13D if desired. All permits issued to WAFS are Residential. The backflow attachment has th**** off billing for ToJ. The backflow water has been shut off at **** due to billing and infrastructure issues. David D***** from PBCFR sent a letter stating I do not need to be monitored.
I need to have these deficiencies fixed on my and my neighbor's home.
