    Complaint: 23186331

I am rejecting this response because:

After reading **** ****** ( Florida certified building contractor) report I dont understand why his contractor supervisor even took the job if he claims all these issues. I paid for a job to be completed correctly not excuse after excuse. ***** only time on this site was after I told his office I didnt want **** ( supervisor) on the job).

According to Branching out the job was completed but knowing of many issues. I paid in full knowing **** knew a good friend of mine, like family. So figuring no issues should arise.

1- The backyard grading, if its that bad you as everyone concert guy builds a frame around the footer. Not pouring it so it looks like spilled the milk and taking the form to the ground leveling.

2- Irrigation, never had or was there an irrigation problem. The sprinklers never even before the cage came close to the lanai. Sprinkler guy confirmed that no irrigation issues even with **** walking around with his two Coat hangers, looking for water lines. Claiming it was running Through the lanai for the kitchen. The outdoor kitchen is on the same side as the indoor kithen so impossible for that excuse.

3-The sub contractors, I believe it was all done by sub contractors. The cage guy had claimed he used extra screws because some werent taking and didnt like the footer leveling.

4- claiming the pavers were faded. Not sure what that has to do with anything but okay they probably are. Cutting the pavers, this was because the footer guy just threw all the pavers in a pile and the guys trying to lay them back down couldnt figure the pattern. The size never changed so shouldve been easy. The cutting cause larger gaps between the pavers.

5- the door on the side at they did the inclosed area has a gap on the bottom even with large Felt. This is also do to the slope of the lanai.

6- Not reaching out Ive made numerical during this whole process and most never received or unanswered. I made a few visits to the office as well.

7- Saturation of ground, not sure if this was after a rain storm or what or just in the corner were they put the drain. Again this was ***** first time out here, if this was the case his supervisor shouldve noticed him of all the issues before starting the job. The stepping stone and the drain are in a horrible spot and to move two plants would have been better than creating more issues. And the door having a gap at the bottom. I paid for their knowledge and ended up with excuses.

8- **** claims the slope is to code. Funny Ive never been to a house ir building that had that kind of pitch. And now is saying I have to pay to have it fixed at its not in the contract. I paid Branching out yo do a job correctly not just do a job knowingly all the issues. Its like putting a tile roof knowing the roof cant support it and now asking for more money to support it.

10- Hurricanes, yes we had two but no water issues even with what **** calls bad backyard grading. We did have a bad storm when the drench was dug and it collapsed and had to be dug out again. Probably because of not being framed ?

During all this Ive never asked for money back just to be properly fix which I understand probably cant.

My proposal is lets meet in the middle of the cost of the proposed numbers even though I feel its not my fault but have to live with it. But no **** ( supervisor) on the job.

    Respectfully submitted,

    ***** Spinelli

t keeps washing the dirt or grout away. Fist it was the yards grading than it was a water line under the lanai which they came out with two clothesline hangers to look for a water line. I had a Irrigation guy come by and called their BS. They now want me to find pavers and pay extra money to fix the problem. They even put a door with the step about 8ft. From the house with a drain line In between house and step causing water and that is my fault too. *** and family and friends cant believe the work that was done. Its Embarrassing to let people see it. The last interaction with **** the owner was late last year. And e-mail went out on 8/13/24 and a few calls and to follow. Thats when a few more proposal can in blaming the grading of the ground not that the footer wasnt level. If on any uneven ground shouldnt it be framed for a level lanai. The owners answer it to code so its good. Whats to code Im no contractor but I can tell you everyone says it horrible even contractors.

Thank you for your response as we value all customer feedback concerning our work. ********************** Out strives to provide high-quality construction services and products. While we make every effort to meet project timelines and uphold workmanship standards, certain issues may occasionally arise due to factors such as material shortages, inclement weather, unforeseen site conditions, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party.
Here, there still appears to be a disconnect between what we contend the contract documents required and your expectation of the scope of work on this project.  To reiterate our position, Branching Out completed all work under the initial contract and the items you requested to be addressed would constitute change order work.  In turn, Branching Out provided a bid proposal for your review contemplating such additional work, but no response was ever received to date.
Notwithstanding, we are open to continued dialogue and are willing to work with you to reach a mutually agreeable resolution. However, the Better Business Bureau is not the appropriate venue for such discussions.  Please feel free to contact us directly at ************ or ******************************** to further discuss this matter.

    Thanks,
