WC Industries was contracted to seal our lanai patio pavers. The job was done poorly and now our lanai pavers look worse than before the sealing. In some cases water is trapped underneath the sealer and is deteriorating the pavers. Trapped sand and over sealing has caused an issue as well. The pavers are less than two years old and now need to be stripped and resealed.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/18/2022

Here are the details of what happened with customer ***************************, who filed complaint 18239584.

On July 25, 2022, *************************** asked me to put him on the schedule to have his brick pavers sealed.  I did that and the job started on July 28, 2022.  His patio was pressure washed and the pavers were sealed.  On July 29th, I received a picture via text regarding areas that needed to be resealed and excess sand removed.  On Monday, August 8, 2022, we took care of the areas that were pointed out.  On August 10, we also went out to remove excess sand and were told that the invoice would be paid as soon as possible.  On August 11 again, it was pointed out that there was excess sand.  We went out to remove it on that day, but it was not to his satisfaction.  We also went out to remove the excess sand on August 13.  On August 30, 2022, after not getting any response from *****, nor his wife ****, to my calls and texts requesting payment for the pressure washing and sealing of his pavers, I filed a small claim suit against him with the Clerk of Circuit Court.  We were to appear in court on October 18, 2022.  On Sept 12, ***** transferred $700 of the $850 that was owed to my bank account.  That left a balance of $150 that he did not pay.  I did not appear in court on October 18 and the case was dismissed.

Attached is a copy of the invoice, the court summons, as well as our text messages.  Please let me know if additional information is needed.

    Thank you,
