We used Two Men and a Truck, out of Oldsmar, **, to relocate back to ********. We have used other Franchise/Locations, without any major incident, however, this time was very different. Out items were picked up by a moving truck on January 29, 2025 to be taken to the warehouse and placed in crates to be delivered to ********, at a later date. However, when the items were delivered on February 24, 2025, there were several damaged pieces along with a number of items missing. The *****, DE location of Two Men and a Truck, stated that they did receive a manifest (or any documentation) showing what was to arrive. The ****************** has had our items repaired - still not perfect, but they stated they have no say over the franchise in Oldsmar and that the insurance would only cover if a "cataclysmic event occurred or an accident involving the truck". The Operations Manager in *******, **, ***** *****, multiple times via phone and email - listing the items...they have yet to be returned and the office is no longer taking our phone calls. During more than one conversation the Operations Manager admitted they had some of our items, however, could not get them back to us. They have stopped making any attempt to resolve and I cannot even file a true monetary value claim, if I do not know what they have and what condition it is in. They are requesting receipts; will not accept photos of the items. Some of these were antiques or purchased 10 to 15 years ago. We are trying to avoid a legal mater, unfortunately, I do not see any other way out. EMAILS AND PHOTOS CAN BE PROVIDED UPON REQUEST.

On August 2nd, 2023, I requested the services of Two Men and a Truck located in *******, **. I was using their services to relocate from Palm Harbor to ********. I had contacted them a few days prior and set up the service. I had paid a deposit of $260.00 to secure the date and time of the service. I was given an estimated price and told that the final price and payment would be done at the completion of the service. After the service was completed, I was passed an **** from the Two Men and A Truck employee. He stated that this would be the FINAL payment and signature required to complete the transaction/service. The **** had a total and final balance of $680.00.I confirmed with him that this was the final amount and no further charges would come up. I paid and signed for this amount. The following day around noon I received a phone call stating that the employee made a mistake and I still had a remaining balance of $281.65. I was hesitant to pay due to the previous day confirming with the employee the final amount and confirmed. My significant other who was unhappy about the situation spoke with an unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional manager. The manager at the time could not provide a breakdown for the additional charges and continued to say it was a mistake on the employee's behalf. The manager then proceeded to go around my significant other, leaving me a voicemail requesting to speak to me because he was unsatisfied with my significant other's response. We then decided to refuse to make this unjustified payment. Since then they have been harassing us with phone calls, letters in the mail, and threats to be sent to collections. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the service and the company's approach to the situation. My experience has felt very much like a scam and a scheme for money.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/17/2023

Attached I have included our contact with the customer as well as their original sales order. That day we had sent out a newish driver and he had filled out his sales order wrong due to fees added for the junk removal services that we had done for the customer, as well as the 4 hours that our workers had worked. We contacted them explaining the situation on why they were billed incorrectly, and the services done for them the total of the move after taxes was $1,221.65 which you can see under ********************* Sales order.PNG in attachments. There deposit of $260.00 would be subtracted from this amount which remains a balance of $961.65 the price they should have been charged. Unfortunately, our driver made the mistake of not putting on his sales order at the time the deposal fees and his hours worked.  Which cause an incorrect amount charged of $680.00 when it should have been $961.65 give us a difference of $281.65. I have spoken to our GM, and we have come to the conclusion that we are not going to try and collect the $281.65. This was our mistake, and the customer should not be contacted and try to be collected from when we made a mistake on our end. I am a new **************** specialist here at two men, I started in September and this situation was done wrong by our pervious **************** specialist, I am proud to have fixed this situation in a peaceful manner for everyone.
