      Late on 11/08/23 our 17 year old Carrier Infiniti high efficiency 4 zone system was dead. We contacted Am. Home Shield (AHS) and they assigned AffordaPro Air Inc. I contacted them (Kristi) and they sent 1 of their techs, Tony D. to our house the next day. He did get the system running properly in short order and went beyond this to instruct me on what maintenance needed to be done and how to do it. It was very simple and only took a few extra minutes. He also pointed out several components that were questionable that prior AHS contractors installed. I did the maintenance he suggested. Late on Saturday the system went down again and Tony returned Tuesday morning replacing a fuse and finding 2 almost bare (insulated) wires hidden in the outside compressor enclosure. This was an almost impossible find because it was hidden and barely visible in a harness and was an intermittent short. Obviously he repaired the wires & the system is running great; 17 year old 5 ton A/C in a 3100 sq ft house, temperature 74 degrees. Very happy with their work. On a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best), I would give them an 11+.

      I was referred to AffordaPro Air Enterprises by American Home Shield. I received a text message from them the next day at 1133am. I returned the contact via telephone call at 200pm. I called them 7 times with no answer (the phone was hung up several times or the call dropped). I then responded to their text message and indicated my 7 calls and concerns about "speaking" with someone from the company. "Kristi" returned the call and immediately confronted me regarding my 'text message tone and threats'. I immediately explained that I wasn't angry but that the calls were unanswered over the space of 20 minutes and I thought it was odd that the call I made were dropped or hung up multiple times. I asked if there was a voicemail service and she never responded. 'Kristi' intimated "not feeling safe to send a tech to my house because I was so hostile..." I literally chuckled at the assertion & again explained the situation, having an elderly handicapped resident directly affected by the AC outage and I was only desiring service. "Kristi" reiterated she "didn't feel safe" and was gonna refer me back to AHS and ended with. "God Bless you!" then ended the call. I have been with AHS for over 20 years and have never been so rudely dismissed nor have I had a problem this spitefully ended. I await a new AHS Contractor and filed a similar report with the company. I know Central Florida has a shortage of AC outfits but this one doesn't deserve to do business treating people with elderly concerns this way..

      We value every opportunity to help our customers while providing a safe working environment for our technicians. As you mentioned, there are many options for air conditioning services in Central Florida, with that in mind there are many other places our technicians could look to find work. Our excellent service reputation and the constant stream of referrals set us apart from other air conditioning companies and our team members know that. They love working here! For those reasons, we will keep the safety and happiness of all our team members at the forefront of all of our decisions. A happy worker equals excellent work!

      Our initial text:
      "Hello Kati and Steven,
      This is Kristi with AffordaPro Air. Your home warranty company has asked us to check your air conditioner. Please call or text to this number to schedule an appointment.
      Thank you!

      Your response:

      "Ive (sic) return called 7 times and the phone keeps hanging up. I will be making a report to AHS regarding this. Please CALL me to schedule when you receive this. Thank you"

      Our question to you, is why didn't you try texting after the calls dropped, as our initial message suggested, before threatening to make a report to AHS?

      When our office called, trying to discover that answer, we were met with hostility. Despite trying to find a reason for the threatening text and dropped calls, you instantly began to blame our staff member for deliberately disconnecting the calls.

      As you know, AHS is an amazing home warranty company! They make sure all their customers receive the best service. We trust AHS will find you another company and have your air conditioning problems resolved quickly.
