This place should only provide vaccination and shelter services only. Not a good place for any other services.
I got my Yorkie to get dental examination and cleaning on Oct 2 the Dr told me that she had periodontitis infection on 2 of the upper sides on each side a total of 4 teeth were loose he told those she might loose them and I proceeded to authorized the bloodwork to start the process the same day for dental cleaning and surgery.
The front desk notified me that I could not make the surgery appointment before the results of the bloodwork were ready. Those results will take from 2 to 7 days. They also gave me a urine sample kit, instructions were the urine should be taken 5 days prior the surgery and the surgery appointment could be done once the blood work test comes normal. The reason for the urine delay was to make sure the dog is not passing any stone prior the procedure. This was explained to me twice since I didn't find it practical due to I had to drive 45 min each way.
On October 9, I called them to inquire for the results and were not ready according to the computer system and once were ready they will call me.
On Oct 16 I called again and I was told the results were ready since Oct 4, they called to my cell and left me a message. I told the lady not true.
I asked her to make the appt, she said no because the urine sample was needed as well. I took the urine sample the same day and took it the same day. Results came back on Oct 19 "positive stone". I had to take the dog for some additional studies. On Oct 23, the dog was taken for the additional study same day I was told everything was negative. Surgery was sched for Nov 7 at 8am. At 2:14 pm I got the call that my dog was ready and they had to takeoff 18 teeth all the front teeth are gone. I talked to the DMV Brian ******. In 28 years having Yorkies and being a breeder none of my dogs had to be removed. My total cost on this whole process was 1.3K, I feel scammed. "Affordable Cost Clinic"Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando provides veterinary services to customers at a reduced rate – meaning that the customer will typically pay less for the service provided by the Pet Alliance than they would pay at a full-service veterinary clinic. Services are provided by board-certified, experienced veterinarians with years of experience.
In the situation outlined by the customer: they had an 8-year-old small breed dog with grade 3- 4 periodontal disease. Prior to any dental cleanings and extractions, the owner must agree to blood work (in this case a senior screen) and urinalysis and radiographs. An estimate of these costs is provided to the owner before any tests are performed. Once tests are performed and the animal is cleared for dental surgery the owner has an estimate of the surgery cost based on the preliminary review – as with all surgery if more extractions are needed, the cost will rise. In this case based on the amount of periodontal disease, 18 teeth were extracted. The owner signed an acknowledgement form prior to the surgery. The cost of the surgery was estimated to be $731 the actual cost was $929. The additional $274.80 was for the labs and radiographs. These fees are quite reasonable.Lourdes R.

The reason I brought my pet to your office was previously the good experience on the mall at Millenia facilities. This complain is not only about money, but there were also many things wrong on this case. The instructions and information given to me by office personnel that created unnecessary delays to treatment. As I previously disclosed on the complaint above.
The fact that knowing the dog had periodontal disease grade 3-4 on the day of the dental consultation and not providing antibiotics to the dog to minimize the progression of the infection was very negligent, the same day of the consultation I paid for the blood test, and it was taken. The fact that the dog needed to get a significant number of teeth was an enough reason to notified me as the owner of the pet. But I was notified after the fact.
The office inefficiency that brought unnecessary delays plus no antibiotics to prevent the progression of the infection since been a small dog this could had cost my dog’s life. Not notifying me about the findings of the number of teeth before the fact and not after. Like I stated previously in all my years as Yorkie owner and breeder none of my Yorkies had been removed such a big number of teeth and most of my pets lasted between 14 to 16 years old. The Vet will notify me of any drastic findings, showed me the teeth pulled for me to confirm those were bad. Do I have to believe the Dr by faith? The x-rays were done. Those were never discussed with me. I’m complaining about all the wrong things done. I don’t want anyone to experience what my pet had been thru.Review fromRaquel F.

Don’t take your pet to their clinic. I went to the Sanford location but will never go to any of their locations anymore. They are awful. I took my pup there and he tested positive for heart worms. No other tests had been done nor any blood work. We were prescribed an antibiotic to help my dog feel comfortable while my husband and I figured out treatment because I’m also pregnant. Gave my dog half the pill as instructed and within less than 48 hours my pup was gone. Was never explained the side effects of the pill or any kind of caution with giving him the medicine. My dog died in my arms and I have been devastated ever since as I am trying to be okay for my unborn child. I brought the pills back to the clinic and the first thing I was told is “we don’t do refunds”. I was appalled at the fact that that was the first thing out of the lady at the front desk. I NEVER asked for a refund but, I would like my dog back. Dr. Gill has a poor place of business altogether and I hope people stay away from here. Especially if you love your fur babies. I’m still receiving emails about my dogs prescription as if they don’t know he’s dead now. Please consider anywhere and anything else before taking your fur baby here. They depend on you. If I could do it all over again I would never have gone there and my little guy might still be here.Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando provides veterinary services to over 28,000 customers per year. The owner brought their pet - an animal that they stated they had found a few months prior and decided to keep. The animal was aged at approximately 1.5 years old (our veterinarian believed the dog was older). The animal was brought to the Pet Alliance for exam and review of discharge from his genital area. The heartworm test came back highly positive, the animal also had fleas. The veterinarian spoke with the owner about heartworm treatment and neutering the pet. The owner was given an antibiotic and purchased heartworm prevention and flea/tick medicine for the dog. Due to cost restraints imposed by the owner, we were unable to perform x-rays or blood panel screening. Xray’s would have told us if this was a long-term issue with damage to the animal’s heart or lungs.
The Heartworm Society of America provides guidelines that the Pet Alliance follows – we do suggest the 3-injection protocol but do offer a lower cost heartworm prevention and an antibiotic option. Following the owners request (the less invasive and less costly treatment) we provided heartworm prevention and antibiotic treatment for the dog.
The loss of any family pet is heartbreaking.Raquel F.

There was no explanation of how x-rays and bloodwork would have done a more extensive search of the condition. I was not given the choice after explaining my budget. The severity of the condition was not explained either. Just the treatment and the estimates of neutering, dental work, and blood work FOR the neutering procedure was explained. Bloodwork and X-rays were not offered during the visit at all. Had I been given the choice or any kind of other information about the extensiveness of the condition I would have reconsidered other options. The doctor never said anything about the dog seeming older and never pointed anything out that would give her that idea either. He was full of life and did not look old to me but I’m not a licensed professional. In any event the business is going to cover their own behind and project a better picture of themselves. I had called the morning he passed and reported that he was having heart palpitations and was told to let the pill leave his system, which would have taken 48 hours, and they would prescribe a probiotic for his stomach since he had not eaten the night before. Nothing else regarding his heart palpitations. The vet never gave her own recommendation since the disease was so “positive” she did not explain the severity of it at all. She said his test came back positive without further details of the test. If she had maybe he would still be here but of course that’s asking for too much to ask for. The business would never admit their mistakes but I’ll admit mine. My biggest mistake was bringing my innocent boy to this place of business and trusting a doctor with a dollar tree degree to tell me all outcomes of the treatment or the severity of the condition he had. It was my mistake trusting a supposed licensed professional to explain the things that are not common sense to the average person in detail. Let’s also not forget the first thing I was told when bringing the pills back to the establishment was that they do not do refunds as if watching my pup cough up blood in my arms and take his last breathe as his heart stopped, to then feel his lifeless body in my hands whilst I am almost 6 months pregnant would have prompted me to go in there and return pills for my money back. Again if you love your pets and you are reading this please, I am begging you for your fur babies, please don’t make the same mistake I did.
