      I had a horrible experience at *** today. I was contacted by ***** to participate in a medication study for anxiety. Ive previously taken part in another medical study here, including the COVID-19 ****** trial. ***** mentioned this new study had less stringent requirements compared to the one I applied for in 2023, from which I was disqualified due to my lab results.Trusting her, I signed up, was informed about the payment, and took time off work to participate. After spending about an hour answering questions and completing tests, I was informed by a nurse named ******* that I couldnt be part of the study due to my previous lab results. This was surprising and frustrating as it contradicted what I was told earlier.******* spoke to me in a condescending manner. When I asked about compensation for my time, she flatly refused, despite me taking time off work and expecting $150 for my participation. Instead, she offered to mail me a $25 gift card.I feel extremely disappointed and misled by Julias assurances. It's disheartening that this is how they treat people who volunteer for medication testing to advance medical science. I will never recommend or return to ***.

      Pleas accept my apologies for the late response. In clincal research the guidelines for study eligibility are decided by the sponsor of the study to maintain the integrity of the study we are not allowed to make exceptions-even for prior patients. In our standard operating procedure we do prescreen potential patients over the phone with no quarantee they will meet the criteria. We do not quarantee payment over the phone.

      Mr. Humprhris did speak with ***** ******, LCSW via telephone for the study he referenced. Ms. ****** is a **** and not a medical provider at our clinic. ***************** from his previous study were reviewed and I asked had he followed up on the labs. He responed "no" and voiced he was not told to follow-up. The current study had a stricter lab criteria and based on his prior labs with no follow-up his labs would be out of range for the new study. I attempted to explain that ***** was not medical and although she spoke with him it was related to his symptoms. In addition, Mr. ******** related to a ***, *****, that he had pending charges  for solication of a minor. I also explained that we would not be able to move forward until after his court date and pending outcome.  Ms. ****** spoke with him over the phone but he did not disclose this information.  Attached is his criminal record, since it is part of public records. We do have studies for children/adolescents and we have to maintain the safety of all of our patients.

      Mr. ******** did not do any study procedures, nor did he sign consent-he was asked questions based on the Inclusion/Exculsion criteria and that is when he informed the *** of his pending charges. Subjects are reimbursed if the sign consent.

      I charges are over and my court date was well in the past .  I was promised a gift card from ******* and never got it .  She said she would mail a ***** gift card to me .

      is a statement from ***** regarding her interaction with *** ********.

      In clinical research if we are aware that a subject meets exclusion criteria we are not able to proceed with the consent. If we proceed with the patient signing consent that is considered fraud and not only puts the subject at risk but others who may eventually take the medication. It is all about safety in clinical research.

      I did offer to *** ********* to draw his labs, at no cost, so he could have them for safety reasons and follow-up with his primary care physican-he declined.

      I also offer to mail him the 25 dollar gift card he referenced-he declined and related reported he was going to report me. I instructed out receptionist to still send the card after he left. Our policy is to contact individuals to verify their address before we send the gift card. She has attempted on 3 different occasions to verify his address with no success.

      CNS is more than agreeable to send the 25 dollar gift card via certified mail to the address we have on file, as stated during his last visit to our facility.
