This university has been holding my Fasfa reimbursements causing me to have to drop out of my current university due to failure of payment. With multiple attempts of contact from my current university, myself, and my mother with no resolution. We have not been able to get a clear answer as to why the funds will not be released. Which has extremely inconvenienced me and has postponed my career advancement.

*** won't stop emailing me! I had originally inquired about going back to school with them and their finance office wanted $550.00 a month even though I was laid off from my job. I keep responding to their emails telling them to stop contacting me, I also unsubscribed from ANY emails from them and also called their campus and told them stop contacting me. We'll tonight got another email and I called and was told it wasn't them but when I said it has ****** ******** (senior director of admissions) signature on it they said oh. I want all communication to stop! I will NEVER EVER use or recommend ***.

I am writing to formally dispute the student loan charges related to my attendance at Florida Technical College. I have recently discovered discrepancies concerning the student loans associated with my time at your institution, specifically regarding the Culinary Arts program and the Medical Assistant ********** begin, I want to clarify that I made every effort to pay my monthly installments for the Culinary Arts program. Despite fulfilling these payments, I have been informed that I still have outstanding student loans tied to this program. It is important to note that I paid off my monthly dues in full and on time, yet I was unaware of any further obligations for a program I completed and believed to be settled financially.Furthermore, after my time in the Culinary Arts program, I enrolled in the Medical Assistant program at your school. However, I did not complete or even begin the program, as I decided to withdraw on the first day. Yet, I have been informed that I am still responsible for student loans related to this program, which I never participated ***** a result of the financial confusion surrounding these programs, I took a step that I thought was best for my future by joining the military, as the Culinary Arts program did not lead to the career success I anticipated. In light of this, I respectfully request that you review my records and the charges associated with both programs.I believe that these charges are incorrect, especially considering that I fulfilled my payment obligations for the Culinary Arts program, withdrew from the Medical Assistant program on the first day, and sought alternative paths due to unmet expectations from the initial program. I kindly ask for a full review of my student loan records to correct these discrepancies and remove any unfair charges related to programs I either completed or did not start. Please provide me with an official response to this dispute at your earliest convenience.

We were even not told anything at all or given the runaround and its been about three months and we still havent been allowed to sit for x-ray exams or be able to even sign up for them

On July 29th, 2024, I received an email via my student email, stating that there is a job available for students to apply for. So, I did not second-guess this email because I expected our school email to be encrypted. After completing the application, they informed me that a check for the equipment needed to be deposited into my bank account but I had to make the payments back for the equipment after I started to accumulate income from the job. I proceeded and agreed and deposited the check for approximately $2850.00. After depositing the check, my account was immediately closed by ******** When I called ******** they informed me of the fraudulent check. After speaking with the bank, I immediately notified the school and they told me someone would reach out to me...that never happened. At the time this fraud happened, I was expecting a financial aid check that was sent to my bank on August 2, 2024. Because this fraud happened and my bank account was closed, my check was sent back to the school. No one was paying this issue any urgency or attention until I told them that I as going to report this to the ************************* I expressed to the school staff that I needed this check to be expedited because when the bank account was closed, it was closed with a balance because I was charged a fee for that bad check coming back and because I had a previous balance, which was going to be rectified when the financial aid check came. But now since this all took place, that account has been placed for collections and it literally hasn't been a month yet and Florida Technically College is still dragging its feet about releasing funds or rectifying this fraud issue.I regret ever attending this school!

I decided I wanted to get my CPC certification to become a medical billing and coder. After a quick google search I reached out to a couple different colleges about taking short courses to obtain the certification needed. Florida Technical College was the first college to reach out to me and offered the shorter course length so it was the college I chose to peruse. I began classes in May of 2022 and took my final exam March 2, 2023. No where did the specify exactly what certification I was getting. I passed my class, and got an email stating I received my certification and it was in the mail to me. Come to find out, the certification I got is a NCICS certification that is not sought after by any employers, unless they are looking for coder with insurance coders specifically. Even then a coder still needs their CPC along with the NCICS. I paid $16,000 for this course and can’t get a job. I was promised assistance with finding a job after graduation where they have only pushed for me to enroll in their bachelor program. I requested to help me with my resume and finding a job before I would consider possibly furthering my education later. I then heard nothing back from them about the matter. It wasn’t until today, 4/11/2023, when I was declined for a job opportunity because I did not have an active CPC certification required for the job did I realize I didn’t have the certification I was going for. After further digging and going back and forth with the career coordinator at FTC, did they explain to me that in order to get my CPC I have to enroll in their bachelor program and spend more money. When in the beginning I could’ve went through the AAPC website and paid for a course and tests to get my CPC for less than the original cost of the 9-month course I took at FTC. I believe they are intentionally withholding information from students, and making them believe they are receiving a different certificate then push them into a bachelors degree to get more money.

I started in this school a few years ago everything started off well. After o have had a few issues with my ***** needing correction the school has ignored dozen of my reach out for corrections to my *****. They state that they can't help me or do anything about it. I reached out to ***** themselves to see if they could guide me in the right direction. ***** stated that everything is in the control of your school's financial aid department. I told Florida Technical college this and they stated that they would not correct it because it wouldn't do anything. I have never felt so helpless and taken advantage of until now with this school. I have lost my employment and they won't do a judgement to correct it so I'm stuck paying for school and racking up bills even though I don't have any employment. This school doesn't care they ignore my calls, emails and tell me they are busy with new students to help. I wish this info was available to me when I started to stay away from this organization. They are of no help all they want is your money and will ignore you and try anyway to get it all. I advise everyone to PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! There's plenty of other more reputable schools out there. I'm stuck with all debt that even FaFsa says with my financial situation I shouldn't have.
