Unlicensed Residential and Roofing Contractor, defrauded elderly 82-year-old, widowed ****************** homeowner, by soliciting services to repair roof and interior water damage following Hurricane ******. Mr. ***** Bradford, Contractor, took three checks, in excess of his estimates, totaling $6,248.00 (on Oct 15, Oct 30, and Oct 31), after pressuring the homeowner that funds were needed immediately, in order to begin work immediately. Then, once paid in full the contractor failed repeated requests to purchase materials or start work. Based on these facts, and the contracts subsequent comments for "No Refunds" and "People Never Get Their Money Back," we believe this appears to be pattern of deceit and intentional fraud of elderly homeowners during the hurricane recovery. The Homeowner, ***** ***** of ************* received two estimates for services. The FIRST totaling $4,88, from ***** Bradford owner/agent of "Bradford Exteriors LLC" a registered ***********, of **************************************, formed 6/10/2024 and was represented as a licensed and bonded contractor. Neither is true. A SECOND estimate for roofing repairs was provided by the same ***** ******* from an ************ (Tough as *******************, for an additional $2,500.00 other roofing services also left unperformed. Bradford was repeatedly contacted where each time he said he would start work on Monday, but he never appeared on-site, texting a string of excuses for family, marital, or personal car defects. Further, no materials were purchased or delivered. After his breach of trust and performance, return of funds was requested. The homeowner is harmed through loss of funds, ongoing roof damage and needed repairs, and undue stress and suffering of an elderly 82-year-old open-heart-surgery survivor.
